Before you say I am being dramatic, imagine if 2 years from now we can't sign Brady, we trade him to a Western team for a 1st line forward with an extra year of term who is a downgrade, that team flips him to the Maple Leafs for a much better package, and then Brady signs with them for an amount that we said wasn't possible to sign him at, and then he helps the Leafs eliminate us in the playoffs.
