I just outright prefer the story lines of Clb making the playoffs, so I'm really rooting for them, and would be regardless of whether it was Mtl they were looking to overtake or not. Clb/Wsh seems like a good matchup too, while Wsh/Mtl is bleh.

I can see it now...habs miss the playoffs and end up winning the draft lottery and get something like 3rd or 4th overall and pick up a stud.

But they make the playoffs and get the right opponent (or manage to outskate a bigger team), and suddenly they win 2-3 rounds.

Flames need to commit to a full rebuild and trade Weegar, Andersson, Kadri, and Huberdeau if possible.

Their underlying stats this year were awful, they only got close to a playoff spot thanks to OT losses+Wolf playing really well.

I didn't notice that but damn, Rasmus Andersson has a -38! Second worse is Kadri at -19 but Weegar has the best at +18... really f***ed up

As much as I would like the Habs to get into the playoffs so I can bask in the atmosphere in Montreal while watching the Sens in the first round, it would be so much funnier if they choked what was almost a guaranteed spot a week ago.

The only silver lining for me is I'd be happy for my friends but if the Habs don't make the playoffs and we beat the Leafs in the first round, we'll be in an universe where we play playoffs hockey while all of Habs, Leafs, Bruins, Sabres and Wings fans are forced to watch. Think about it as a clockwork orange scene. No better scenario for a Sens fan IMO (well outside of going far)

I love Marty St Louis, his heart is big enough to fill 18 500 opposition fans with respect, but if his team doesn't win tonight he's in big trouble. He has a hostile franchise tonight that needs a win to right their ship, he's got Demidov who is already a headache in my books, and everyone in the world knows Columbus is winning that game tomorrow night if its win and your in. At home with a fanbase that doesn't have the confidence it once did but still has all the cockiness. Could be a weird night in Montreal, don't discount some garbages being set on fire if they lose.

and weirdly, it's the Ghost of Marty St Louis's mother vs. the Ghost of Johnny Gaudreau. I'm cheering for Johnny Hockey's ghost tonight.
