Around the NHL — Episode XLXVII

lol what a great assumption! I didn't look at your post history at all. I visited the polls section for the first time in a while yesterday, opened a few polls, stumbled on that one and l was curious to see who would be so biased to vote for that ridiculous option and your JD1 name was listed first lmao

ok so on top of everything, you can't read? The title of that poll is "Asset Value - where does Nick Suzuki rank in the NHL?"

It has nothing to do with how Sportsnet and TSN ranked him BEFORE the season... I mean do I really have to answer this kind of argument?

I'm not bookmarking anything, you're completely off the rails lmao

Suzuki is rightfully getting a lot of accolades around the NHL that you like it or not, you can choose to stay in denial if you want. Reminds me of these Leafs homers who look down on Tim Stutzle. I personally can eat crow and recognize that I have underrated him in the past.

Sigh... There's plenty of smaller NHL players who do really well in this league, we're in 2025 by the way. It is a team sport and the roster as a whole is what matters. He's being paired with a guy who is 6'3 and pretty tough. Crazy coming from a fan of a team who drafted Erik Karlsson.

Suzuki has the 9th most points among Centers since last season. Michael Hage is a pretty good prospect. Beck is an excellent 3rd line C prospect with a high floor much like Greig was. Dach and Newhook were tried but good thing it didn't work. Their GM is 10 times smarter than our ex GM was so you can expect him to look for a solution at #2 C, they have a lot of good picks and prospects so they have assets to find a solution.

lol just adding on the ridiculousness, not really surprising though, poor little homer heart hurt by facts. Try to find these "pumping posts" that date more than a year for fun, I'm ready to pay for each one. And even now, I 'm not really "pumping" the Habs at all, I am answering posts on the subject and recognize their talent like I am doing for plenty of other posts talking about other teams in the "around the NHL" thread but right now it seems that the Habs is the hot subject. I guess I am a fan of every team except the Sens derp derp lol

Seriously, I see this "trolling" as maximum 12 y/o mentally, c'est tout à ton honneur

I agree he's had a better year. But he's 3 years older posting his first ppg season. Stu has one ppg season. Suzuki currently has none.

So as stu enters his prime, how many do you think he'll post in the next few years?
Stutzle is currently in his prime. He’s an explosive player, we’ll see how he does in the playoffs.

When you’ll start saying « stroll not coming in peace »

f*** the Habs. Hope they miss out right at the end here. Doubtful, but you never know. Just gotta hang on to that sliver of hope.

It’s getting close man, Jackets are winning this tonight so they just need one more regulation win. And if the Habs lose in regulation, they’re out.

David Carle is going to be the next coach for Bedard in Chicago.

Real happy for him, had a real rough go of it as a young guy and lost his career as an NHL player.

Real happy he’s found a great career in the sport.

Sweaty times in Montreal. Jackets have an easier game against the Islanders who are busy polishing golf clubs, and the Habs get the Canes. Carolina has clinched but I's rather face the Isles for the last game.

Interesting that a win in regulation is really needed by both teams, since if both win but one is in OT it does no good. Tie breaker will be wins in regulation.

Isles also have the opportunity to play spoiler. That can be a big motivator for some teams.

Montreal only need to get a point. Columbus have to win in regulation.

Flames need to commit to a full rebuild and trade Weegar, Andersson, Kadri, and Huberdeau if possible.

Their underlying stats this year were awful, they only got close to a playoff spot thanks to OT losses+Wolf playing really well.

The max points CBJ can get is 89. If CBJ doesn't win in regulation, Habs clinch.
