Every Sens fan would trade Brady for Michkov, why even ask these questions?

Ottawa Might have to throw in a 2nd round pick to get Philly to acquire their Ideal Philly player in Tkachuk - but Michkov and his bad attitude and free wheeling ways are what championship teams are made of and he screams Travis Green type player to me

Wait, are you mocking this like if it was silly? lol I am sorry but I don't only watch Ottawa and I don't only read Ottawa's board. What do you think hockey fans in general would think of this? lol Tkachuk literally went 10 games straight without registering a single point and has a 0.82 PPG in his 25 y/o season. He's also known for a well below average defensive game

So do you think that Michkov, who just turned 20 y/o, is a finished product?

Of course, I am not only asking this as of now when everything smells like roses but also like when we just lost 6 in 7 games like 3 weeks ago. Tkachuk has 3 years left after this season and his NMC kicks in. His brother wanted out of Calgary at a younger age after making the playoffs 4 times with them so who knows how it will play out?

Yeah I’ll just say this for all us fans - if you think you’re proposing something for the benefit of the Ottawa Senators you’d be wrong.

If you also think Brady Tkachuk is a finished product you don’t have eyes. No player on the roster has changed their game more than Brady this season - and I won’t explain why you can be a real hockey fan and figure that out for yourself.

Nobody will talk about it but two bald coaches in a row got beat by the Sens and we got that egghead in Boston fired after we beat them.

Wouldn’t want to be a chrome dome coach coming into Ottawa

relax everybody, relax

Ottawa booed the Yanks anthem when they went into Iraq (I was at the game booing) Montreal has booed the Canadian anthem when the separation thing was kicking off - its happened before because we don’t always agree. Not a big deal

Have you seen Michkov play? Do you realize what kind of potential he has?

His creativity and ice awareness drew comparisons to Artemi Panarin, while his shot-making ability evoked memories of Alex Ovechkin's early years. It wasn't just scouts raving about Michkov. Analysts and coaches noted that his ceiling might rival Bedard's, though the two players had very different skill sets.

I dare you to go on the main boards and propose a Tkachuk-Michkov 1 for 1 trade while saying "no way Ottawa does that" and see how it goes lol

Of course it would not be beneficial right now as Tkachuk is better now and this is an hypothetic scenario as if you know, Tkachuk eventually wants to move on like his brother and dad did. Sure, if Ottawa wins the Cup soon that would probably make him want to stay even longer.

Let's stop acting like all players stay with one team all their career and this is the norm.

If you also think Brady Tkachuk is a finished product you don’t have eyes. No player on the roster has changed their game more than Brady this season -

ok so Tkachuk is far from a finished product, I mean compared to a guy who turned 20 y/o last month?

When do Tkachuk enter his prime? When does he reach his peak? His brother seems to have peaked at 24-25 y/o, his father peaked at 23-26 y/o...

And why is Tkachuk the player that changed his game the most this season? Stutzle is about to get Selke recognition, Batherson is much much better defensively than he ever been, Chabot is a 2-way beast, etc, etc. Tkachuk defensive metrics are better than they used to be but he's far from the only one, everyone has "bought in" to finally NHL coaching and that is why the team is having success.

and I won’t explain why you can be a real hockey fan and figure that out for yourself.

Wtf does that even mean? Just because I don't homer it up and declare Tkachuk as the best Winger in the NHL? I defended him vs Mitch Marner on the main boards, saying he's more valuable when you take their contracts in consideration but I also don't think he should be immune to criticism, which is something that happens a lot in sports.
