I’ll counter with
I’d much rather have Klevin at 3LD than Brannstrom and Klevin is 1.1M cheaper
I’d much rather have Gregor playing Joseph’s role, which he is playing at 2.1M cheaper.
I’d take Kastelic over Gaudette at 4LC but I think Ostapchuk will move into the role later this season and I’ll take him over both.
- it is NOT Klevin, it is Kleven
- I never talked about having Brannstrom instead Kleven. Why the hell would you if I said that I would rather have Brannstrom than Hamonic? What does it have to do with Kleven?
- Noah Gregor is NOT a NHL Top-9 forward. If you have him in your Top-9, you're not a playoffs team, you're probably the Sharks.
- Gregor is obviously not replacing Joseph (or we're in freaking trouble)
Gregor is averaging over 13 minutes a night. He’s not being deployed in a 4th line role.
Explained by injuries and a serious lack of depth.
But JBD is a better player.
Than Brannstrom? Which stat or metric support this claim?
And where would Joseph be playing in a lineup with
Tkachuk Stu Batherson
Greig Norris Giroux
Amadio Pinto Perron
Gregor replaces Joseph’s speed and PK and has been moving up in the lineup as needed. That is what Joseph’s role would be.
Gregor might have about 50 NHL games experience on the PK (112 minutes in career). Joseph had over 500+ minutes and half of them on Tampa Bay, a top contender.
It's not because a guy skates fast and is able to play on the PK that he is EQUAL to another player. That's lunacy
And so far, Amadio and Perron have not shown that they are better than Joseph, not even close (understandable for Perron)
