Was Ross Colton a Rangers fan being from NJ

3.8 seconds left. Awful defensive play. Bolts lead 2-0 in the series. Lightning keep finding these players. this is what happens when you have great scouting staff.

Rangers should take a lesson from this. This is what kinda happened last night when you dont get the puck out of the defensive zone

100% my concerns with Florida to start. They are not built for the playoffs.

I think the issue here is that Tampa has become the playoff hardened that a team can get.

They've been through everything - Winning in the finals, Losing in the finals, Winning in 7, Losing in 7, getting swept in embarrassing fashion, etc.

Gritting up and using the embarrassment of 2019 to fuel them to winning in 2020 was impressive. I loved bagging on them when they lost to CBJ, but it takes real balls to bounce back from that and win not only the next year, but the year after that as well.

They can literally play any game you want to play and beat you at it. Calgary may be the only other team in the league who can say that.

Not leaking shitty goals is solid foundation for playoff success, for starters. Florida doesn't play with the tempo they had during the regular season, far from it, and their D is always prone to stupid mistakes.

They learned how to win.

You dont learn by succeeding as dumb as that sounds. This is like year 8 or 9 for Cooper? and their window. We're in Year 1. The experience the kids are getting is priceless.

Have to give it to Tampa management. They are built very well. They have enormous defenders. Great top talent. Solid depth. Top 2 goalie in the world. I just don't think Florida is built to win it all.

This is true. Teams (at least good ones) will be able to neutralize what ever it is that you do best. Calgary will make mince meat out of everyones favorite Avalanche when that time comes for this very reason. You need to be able to go to and be good enough at Plan B to win playoff games.

I thought Florida had enough dig in them to get it done that way if need be but they haven't shown that at all.

You cannot win by playing pretty hockey. It's that simple. You can have pretty plays

Yup, that is just good strategy.

And as dumetreE said, this is where Q not being there really shows. No adaptation or other gear shown by the Cats yet.
