Troy Terry is so fun to watch. That is good scouting 5th round pick.

Kaprizov also a 5th round pick.

if other teams can draft talent anywhere in the draft, Rangers should be able to develop top picks but they sadly cant. I don’t get how the Rangers organization is fine with this. Management needs to see the real issues with this team. Rangers get overpaid talent failed to produce. Same issue no matter who is in charge of this franchise. Things won’t chance. Been the same way since the 80s if not earlier.

I miss the days of having Brandon Dubinsky and Ryan Callahan on our team. Good finds in the 2ed and 4th round. Not like the Boo Nieves and Lauri Korpikoski type of picks.

its been a thing throughout their history. Go look at any draft 1st round from 1970 until today, aside from 1986, the Rangers draft some scrub and then in the next couple of picks a Hall of Famer or all star was taken. And the few times they did make a good pick they trade them (Middleton, Weight, Savard, etc)

Verified respected poster who had delivered on previous information he was able to share.
At the time Jason Robertson played in 3 games that year and wasn’t dressed for any of the Stars 27 playoff games that season.
If you don’t judge that trade looking back, rather in the time when it was to happen it’s believable. Jason’s brother Nick was projected to have a higher ceiling.
Jason Robertson went before his brother Nick , 39 vs 53. I doubt very, very much they ever considered moving Jason Robertson.

And I dont think that should take away from the person you mention either. Could very well have been a bad tip. Chris Kreider wasnt worth near two 1sts in value as a soon to be UFA

You can't blame the Rangers for taking Kakko, can only be disappointed about the outcome
Marcel Hossa 2.0. Not his fault. Should have had the option to play in Hartford? Rangers should have entertained that option. Maybe he'd refuse and request a trade too

Kreider was on an intergalactic tear at the deadline (frankly better than last year's play) and Robertson hadn't proved he could skate at an NHL level (he couldnt yet).

We've seen how skating and anticipation matters.

It's very believable but hyper f***ing annoying because 1 in 200 guys like Jason Robertson in that spot pan out to be like he is now.

Because God hates me we will have like 25 years of whining about what ifs based on a sub 1% probability. f*** me.

Schrodinger's forward prospect:

Simultaneously would be ruined by NYR development and would score 78 goals and 141 assists per year for the Rangers if not for Gorton and JD being so f***ing dumb.

He has to be, it’s the only reason he’s still in the league.

League enforces are a dying breed, but I still think they have a place on soft teams. I mean, we look pretty f***ing soft right now and the last person you want fighting your battles for you is an already banged up captain who is supposed to be one of our top D's for what we're paying him.

Completly agree, i think You still need 1 on every team.

We do look soft. I was just thinking about that the other day.

I went to an Isles game against Philly a week or so ago. Big fight at the end of the game where TDA got pumbled. Anyway, they played eachother again a few days later & in the first 15sec of tbe game there were 2 seperate fights cuz of how the other game ended. Im just thinking the whole time that we got nobody besides Trouba that would Maybe react like that. You gotta have somé level of grit on the team imo. And the Cap shouldnt be the guy doing it

It is sad watching other teams and see how teams develop a Hintz or a Robertson or a Kaprizov or a Greenway or Eriksson Ek. Rangers need to learn on how to develop talent at all aspects of hockey. Their NHL scouting needs improving too. Organization is a mess.

Yep and it’s reflected in their AHL team which always sucks and never produces NHL talent

Reaves another assist 4-1 WILD

Reaves a ppg player since getting traded , imagine when Kakko or Laf are traded

I don‘t get how Drury the puppet don’t see anything wrong with this. Dolan is an issue. Fans have to face the fact that nothing will change here until he is gone.

Robertson is so good. It’s a shame Rangers will never develop young talent this good.

Was 5-1 and now 5-4 Wild

Stars coming back

Marchment would have been a good signing here. A big physical power forward with emotion.
