Ya know what’s crazy. I felt like 22-23 run was more fun than 23-24.

Being underdogs. That was our origin story. We became villains full of signature moments.

While obviously winning the cup was the best euphoric result, it felt more business like. It had some signature moments, just less of it. We were already Villains. We just managed to claim the Iron Throne

Long May We Reign
That season felt absolutely magical, the boston series was my absolute favorite seeing all those dipshit fans talking shit on us have to eat shit sandwiches 3 games in a row until Swaggy drove the dagger in.

Then the leafs series, felt bad for the canes, but nearly cried getting to the finals, then well yeah, thought our run was over after that. Thought the redemption thing would flame out and the team would regress but damn they came out with a vengeance.

Having such a good regular season, having every team hate us during it. Getting Vladdy for peanuts @ShootIt and i got giddy when we saw that, then smoking the lightning finally, beating boston again, and the rangers on the way to our first win vs the "two best players in hockey" oilers was even better. Felt like we were toying around the first two rounds we were THAT good.

I don't want to alarm anyone, but there is currently a 5 page thread on the Bruins board about who should replace Jim Montgomery.

And the Bruins are getting smacked 6-2 by Canes at the moment. Early season struggles, or is this the year the wheels finally fall off for Boston?

Interesting, entertaining, but definitely not alarming.

ETA: Just back from Bruins board. Yeah they want to fire Monty but they also want a couple of players up be traded. Nobody has a clue other than blaming the coach. I’m glad we beat the Brus last two playoffs, if we hadn’t, we’d have major mental issues now knowing we lost to such a shit team.

I think Boston will be OK when the goaltending situation stabilizes.

It's very important to note, that for the last few years, Boston had among the very best goaltending in the league, with Ullmark playing very well and then Swayman doing a great job behind him. Ullmark left, Swayman is struggling a bit as the 1A goalie, and Korpisalo SUCKS.

Boston has suddenly downgraded from top tier 1A and elite 1B into good 1 and garbage 2. This is going to cost them games in the regular season, it is going to cost them quite a few games.

But if they can stabilize that, I think they are still the toughest team we have to face in the East.

I think Tampa is back to form to be honest
