Damn not much hope for Dallas after this one. Despite all the shots, not too many high quality looks. I think they tried to copy the Panthers with their hard forecheck and aggressive pinches from the wall but they were absolutely murdered for it, the Oilers just moved the puck too fast and they got a ton of fast breaks.

Otter let in 6 but pretty much all them were good looks or odd man plays, could've gone even worse. Which is why I'm pessimistic about the series now.

The warning signs for Dallas came at the end of the year when they lost nine in a row, and even surrendered a three goal lead to the undermanned Canucks and lost.

They bucked up a bit in the playoffs to outlast the Av's and beat the undermanned Jets-- and return of Heiskanen, helped a lot. But they're simply giving up too many quality chances--something that plagued them in the last quarter of the season.

As for Carolina, simply put they don't have anybody down the middle. I'm not even sure they have a No. 1 center. No wonder they were kicking the tires on Elias Pettersson a year ago.

They're being totally outclassed by a battle-hardened Florida team.

It’s only 3 games, win the next one and they get home advantage back.

Maybe we can get them to overpay for Pettersson now, although that would probably seal it for Hughes.

All this talk about phony teams is exactly why you just gotta get in and why next year can be big for us Canucks. Just get in and anything can happen. Hell I'd take out chances over Edmonton right now than any of LA,Vegas, Dallas lol.

Jason Robertson has been wildly unimpressive. So inconsistent, looks soft, and can’t elevate his play.
he could be playing with an injury. Oilers lucky as dog shit team always playing teams with injuries.

anyways it looks like Florida and Edmonton on verge of a rematch.
