Speculation: Letang: Is he traded and/or Does he chase?

Letang only… Defense can basically be traded in this league even if you had a corpse out there wearing a JOFA helmet you could still get a 6th because “he can move the puck with efficiency”.

Whether it be the organization that asks him or Letang asks I’m not concerned about the who asks… Does Letang get traded at this deadline in the upcoming season?

I bet watching MAF bounce around for the last few years isn't very enticing. And i can't see the org going so hard for a late round pick to force him out.

He's at least in denial about it. Karlsson, too. Though there were a handful of times last year after getting burned that Karlsson was maybe coming to terms that he didn't have the same agility he once did.

I don't think Letang gets traded unless some sort of opportunity emerges in Montreal over the next couple years. He's not going to go Cup chasing, but playing at home could be a major pull for him. If Montreal wants him, of course.

I feel like Karlsson (like Sid and Malkin) gets pretty pissed at himself for his own mistakes, but I have never really seen that kind of introspection from Letang, even when he was at his peak.

For the past 2 seasons I never seen a guy unable to defend 2 on 1's. I swear when it would happen he would act like this is the very 1st time in his 36 year old life he ever encountered such a situation.
