Former Abby Canuck, Marc Gatcomb, gunning for the goal record with 2 today
lol how do you even continue the game after the ceremony?
He is the definition of the idiom, Red Machine Never Breaks. It is remarkable though that ovie stayed relatively healthy during his career considering that he played a very heavy game. He used to literally hunt guys down and hammer them into the boards like a traditional 4th line energy guy, and i think he's quite high up in the all time hits list too.
The guy had a major injury this year and still scores 40 plus goals. His durability is almost as admirable as the goals record itself.
Is he presenting an award to someone? Can’t wait to watch Lekkerimaki’s ceremony in 20 years
Yes, Aatu Raty for breaking the goal record. Is he presenting an award to someone?
I feel like I've said this before -- but nothing about watching Gatcomb in Abbotsford would have made me think he'd be on a 17 goal pace in the NHL this year

bitd when gretzky broke the record there was iirc a much longer and more boring ceremony with a platinum stick and an even uglier oil painting and some other shit and when play finally resumed we scored the next three goals to break a 2-2 tie into a 5-2 (and eventually 6-3) blowout
LA missed the playoffs badly, but we needed those two pts badly to squeak into the playoffs and ended up two goals away from the cup of course
bure ended the afternoon scoring his 50th goal of the year on an empty netter, en route to leading the league in goals for the first time and being the first canuck to ever lead the league in anything worthwhile
My signed photo of Ovi after his 1st NHL goal (bought in Nov 2005) to today.
Any bids??

Man. And it’s April 6, and most teams have 5-6 more games left. Just shows how much the nhl season drags on now these past 21 years. Lottery is done after the season just before PO begin.Apparently today is the anniversary of the Caps winning the draft lottery to take Ovechkin.
Too bad for youShould have kicked him and every other Russian out of the league when the Ukranian invasion began, but it is all about the league revenue so no go.
wonder how that feelsApparently today is the anniversary of the Caps winning the draft lottery to take Ovechkin.
