Torts is a beauty. Never could figure out if I loved him or hated him, but I always respected him. If he’s done, that’s such a Torts way to go out.
Michkov has two goals against the Canadiens in the first period. He is buzzing looks like a weight has been lifted off of him. A Tortorella sized weight.

That’s a good story line, don’t know how true it is.

Minny with 2 goals and now lead, Caps hit like 3 posts before too. Wild were never realistically dropping, they only need to win the games there suppose to and they’ll make it.

Calgary actually has 3 games on hand on St Louis and 2 on us, so they control their own destiny. In any case, hope they all lose in regulation today.

Utah is all but gone. Minnesota isn't a lock but has a useful lead over the other bubble teams and is already virtually guaranteed to win any tiebreaker because of a huge lead in regulation wins.

St. Louis has just tied Nashville with eight minutes to go.

ffs Saros you gotta have that.

Blues tie it, and as I’m typing this they take the lead with 8 minutes left. f***.

Calgary ties the Stars too, we might lose out on being best of the worst.

Minny wins
Blues just scored twice in 22 seconds to take late lead
Flames tied their game against a team on a B2B which means they have the edge in the 2nd half of the game

The day started so well lol

what a crazy finish, if that stupid ref would of blown the whistle when hofer covered the puck instead of delaying that goal would of counted.

Damn Blues are a team of destiny. They’re the Preds of last year, going on an insane run to make the playoffs.

LOL! So Torts one season in Vancouver was the reason Gillis got fired and Benning was hired? From all reports at the time, it was Aquillini who forced the hiring of Torts because he felt there was a 'country-club' atmosphere developing under Vigneault.

But the Canucks core was aging out, And Torts said as much. And Gillis' time in Vancouver had run its course. He hasn't been hired as an NHL GM anywhere since. So the market has spoken.

What followed over the next decade were some of the blandest, passionless coaches in franchise history. And some of their lackluster lineups reflected it.

I'd have rather have had a coach who was driven like Torts, At least it would have made a decade of mediocrity more bearable.
Wait, why are those the only choices?

How about Gillis was given the green light to rebuild the Canucks? How about Blueberries keep his ham fists off the Canucks and let people much better than him run the team?

Tortorella is such a polarizing figure and I can't stand him. While I do appreciate his forthright comments about the game, his belligerent over confident attitude is tiresome and irritating.

Torts sucked in Vancouver. He needed to take a year or two off after the Rangers, his head/heart wasn't in it at all.

They had to put a Murphy bed in his office so he'd show up for practices.

The Predators are f***ing pathetic.

3 games in a like a week and a half against a division rival where you could knee cap their playoff potential by showing even a modicum of a pulse.

Rolled over and gave them 6 points.

Tragic.

We have been screwed so hard by the out of town scoreboard lately along with our own injuries.

The guys are showing up in a way I'm really proud of, but it feels like the fates are intervening against us for this season. Time will tell.

EDM getting annihilated.

Was there an earlier goal that was called back?

Double injury to McDavid and Draisaitl, and now Skinner's out too.

Very unfortunate timing, hope they can weather the storm,
