The way they retooled and adjusted has been pretty incredible. I still think teams sort of have to learn how to win playoff games with few exceptions.

Florida won a ton of games coming from behind in the regular season.. they give up too many goals. Its an entertaining style of hockey.. but they shouldve changed their style toward the end of the season to get ready for the playoffs. I noticed EDM did start playing lower scoring games last 1/4 of the season and winning some 2-1 games - so maybe the video coach who took over actually knows a few things

Anyone else wondering if the King's offseason strategy will be influenced by the Oiler's playoff success?
The better the Oilers look, the better the Kings look.
If the Oilers got swept in the 2nd round, it'd be harder to justify the Kings being aggressive in the offseason. On the other hand if they make a deep playoff run...

Regardless of the results of this series, the skill gap between the Kings and virtually anyone in the playoffs is massive. That should be the major play driver in any offseason plan.

Florida reminds me of those high flying Washington teams that would put up big numbers in the regular season and always come up short in the playoffs.

Since that moment it's been all downhill for the Coyotes organization.
Who would've thought that 10 years later they'd be relegated to playing in a high school level rink where they can't even put their logo on the ice.
