I think Hedman is great, deserving of the highest awards for sure, but he was a little lackluster after that turnover. Not to mention he was soft behind the net when the puck was shot around.

I don't think Montreal will be able to replicate this success next year, but you can never underestimate a team when things start clicking and they've got momentum behind them.

Their defensive units are quite good. Weber has become very underrated in the late stages of his career.

It's always exciting seeing your young players start to produce. When are the Kings going to have a Suzuki or a Caufield?

Without the playoffs, nobody's talking about those two. We may be talking about Byfield ,Turcotte and Kaliev like that in a few years.

If Kucherov is out, the hockey gods care more about the cap than we thought

love him taking a run at Barzal and Mat just shrugging him the f*** off

God that was several hours of bliss for me

All the talk about cigarette smells and beer showers after the game gave me a heavy 80s/90s vibe, like Sergei Zubov chainsmoking in the tunnel between periods vibe. Isles have to win for that and to avenge the wronged salary cap!

Whether or not people are talking about Suzuki/Caufield isn't the point. The point is they have young guys coming in and producing and having an impact.

Been a long time since the Kings had young guys be impactful. Vilardi showed it for 10 games then faded.

BTW, "In a few years" Kaliyev and Turcotte will be 22 each. Suzuki and Caufield started having impact in the NHL as 20 year olds.

Maybe Byfield will be the guy. My money would be on Kaliyev though.

Vilardi and Andersson will both be 22 this season. Maybe they'll start doing something. If they don't they're probably just not very good.

Hakstol new coach in Seattle.
I believe Hextalls loyalty to him is the main reason (not the only reason) why he lost his GM job with the Flyers.

Wow. With all the choices they had, Haks?? Huge step backwards.

Seattle Kraken hire Dave Hakstol as franchise's first head coach

“I am incredibly proud to announce Dave Hakstol as the first head coach of the Seattle Kraken franchise,” Kraken general manager Ron Francis said in a press release. “Dave possesses great experience, a strong work ethic, a solid technical understanding of the game, and the remarkable ability to communicate clearly and effectively. I look forward to working with Dave as we strive to build a team our fans will be proud of.”

No , he doesn't. One of his many faults.
