It's not about taking it personally, it's just about not being full of shit. "Don't be full of shit" is a good rule no matter what, and when you say "if not the best team I've ever been on" when you don't even make the final let alone win when you've won before twice on a different team = full of shit.

Someone else pointed out that the NHL had no problem with people giving Arizona the beatdown over drafting Mitchell whatever-his-face-was but all the access journalists aren't even touching the Chicago thing. It's pretty negligent and I'm glad people are calling it out.

Martines averaged 14 and 16 minutes per game during the 2012 and 2014 playoffs respectively. He obviously had some big moments in 2014, but even then, I don't think any of us would say that was in any way his team. He averaged 22 minutes per night with Vegas in this year's playoffs. A cup with them would probably mean a lot more to him than his cups with us did.

Yes and Vegas was one of the best teams in the league this year. Favorites to go all the way after the win against the AVS. Marty is disappointed for sure, they had a shot after beating 2 big teams in the Wild and Avs. His role on this team was much bigger that that on the Kings. Probably feels worse for him as he is one of the core leaders on Vegas.

That was the best team he has been on regular season wise. Which is why he was disappointed it did not lead to post season success.

doesn't matter. Fact is he tried to do inappropriate shit without consent. Players did right by reporting (likely showing lack of power he holds over), hawks allowed it to be swept under the rug. Guy goes on to do same shit with younger players who he does hold power.

Hawks could have stopped that had they acted appropriately.
