Boston should have traded half the team before they fired him.

Sure but they always fire the coach first, next will be the GM as this is the year the bruins don't make the playoffs and their immediate future looks really bleak and not much in the pipeline.

This article has them as the 3rd best near outlook for the next 3 seasons just ahead of Pittsburgh and it's hard to argue against it.

We are ranked 17th BTW which seems reasonable.

Hell, they should have fired Sweeney first. That was a master class in poor off-season contracts. Dicking around with Swayman and having him miss camp and look like a sieve certainly isn't helping.

So when Don Sweeney inevitably gets fired at some point, I know the perfect former Bruins who would love to be a GM again. And Boston does seem to love "stealing" Canucks.
