F..k buttman and blackouts
Sportsnet can be both baffling and frustrating.

Tonight, Montreal is hosting Calgary; and in TO, the Leafs and Bruins are renewing their bitter rivalry in the center of the hockey universe.

Meantime on the tube in the West Coast we have the Flyers and Hurricanes. At the same time, over at Sportsnet One, we have the 'World Poker Tour'. And on Sportsnet Two we have NHL weekly highlights.

$%$^#$ Sportsnet. We're like Rodney Dangerfield out here in B.C.

Just wanted to focus a little on this passage from recent Seravalli interview that seems to align with some rumblings from last year about Cronin maybe not being a very good coach.

He was Verbeek's fire hire. Rode out Eakins for the Bedard tank where they did finish last but dropped out of the top pick spot.
Figure PV keeps him for this season, but never know.

These rebuild teams, churn through coaches fast. Grier hired Quinn and fired him after 2 seasons. Now Cronin in year 2 is under the gun.

Slightly related to that, Broberg, 12 games in, 2G7A, 9 pts, and a comfortable +6.
Holloway, Broberg and McLeod--all former Oiler first rounders, who had to get out of Dodge to revive their NHL careers.

'Player Development' is just such a vital factor in a franchise's success these days.
