Multiple sources have confirmed to KDKA-TV that Penguins' assistant captain Evgeni Malkin's Sewickley Heights home was broken into on Saturday and his Stanley Cup championship rings are missing.

Malkin won the rings with the Penguins in 2009, 2016, and 2017.

The back door of Malkin's home was kicked in and at the time of the break-in, the alarm system and cameras happened to be down. His safe was kept open, as well.

The Penguins had a 4 p.m. game against the Ottawa Senators that same day and the 911 call came in a few hours later.

I like Caufield a lot and he's who I would have taken with our pick in 2019 ... but yeah. NHL GMs would not take a tiny scoring winger over young top-pairing D or Wolf who is fantastic.

Yeah. Caulfield is easily a top 5 player in the draft in talent and will be one of the best stat lines. But maybe not top 5 in assets. That being said, having Caulfield above those guys is atleast defensible. That list is just wow. Imagine having Cozens and Zegras in the tip 10 in 2025. They probably just went on the hockeydb draft page and looked at the stats.

Safe was open and security was down?

Has Malkin run afoul of money woes?

Hutson really is going to be a force for years to come. 35 points in 43 games is insane for a 20 year old rookie.
Yea can't blame the Habs fans for hyping up Hutson and comparing him to Quinn Hughes, his offensive production as a rookie D is actually better than Hughes' (in terms of point per game anyways). Even if Hutson doesn't develop at all from here on, he will be an among the top scoring D for the next decade. I wouldn't count him out from improving his defensive game either. Habs have a good one in him.

Man, they have MAF and moved off him for Murray, Jarry, DeSmith who all came along afterwards. But, that's the normal play when you have younger goalies.
But didn't Murray out play MAF and backstop them to their second Stanley Cup? People forget, but MAF was abysmal for several years during the playoffs before Murray came along. Obviously Murray couldn't keep his play up, but it is understandable why they wanted to move on from MAF.

It was the right call. But man, these guys didn’t have the longevity at being a solid #1 for as long as MAF’s Pens career did.

I wonder if the Canucks were ever in Emil Lilleberg from the Lightning? Drafted in the 4th round by Arizona in 2021, wasn't signed, then picked up as a UFA by TB in June 2023.

About to turn 24, 6'3" and 208lb, tough stay at home LHD from Norway. He's giving them a pretty solid 15 minutes per game, and playing some PK.

He had quite the run in with Kastelic of the Bruins last week, had to answer the bell with Frederic the next game, has taken on Duhaime and Brayden Schenn, and absolutely nailed Brett Leason last year.

He would have been a great pickup.

26 assists in 32 games for a dman in the khl is impressive.

i don't believe the canes got rid of deangelo due to his politics though. more a case of he forgot how to defence.

seems like an oilers kind of move.
