Never thought after last season Ovy would have a shot at the record this season. He was like 40 something behind. I do wonder if he retires after this season should he manage to break it this season or would he return to finish his contract and crack 900 goals.Pretty stoked, I got my company's glass seats in Ovechkin's corner on the 28th vs Calgary. Likely the last time I'll get a chance to see him, especially if he breaks the record this season.
I think the Rangers are going to play him netsReally couldve used Kaliyev to be our #4 this year
Anyone see Jeremy Roenick having an online tantrum because Bedard forgot to/missed/skipped saying hi to him?
For a guy who's always telling everyone else to toughen up, he could sure have a look in the mirror.

Bedard was born in 2005. JR was gone from Chicago in the 90's.People that call people snowflakes are always the biggest snowflakes around
I think it's safe to say calls weren't going his way. I'll show myself out

Of course they do. The issue is ownership, a winning team, and a good stadium.Just what the NHL needs, another return to Phoenix. Do they even care about hockey down there?
SJ, is an interesting market in that in other sports, the Bay area is a top market for the 49ers, Giants, Warriors, in terms of team valuation (top 10 easily for all), but in the NHL, Sharks are always into the 20's. Someone mentioned it was a poor TV deal that they signed which is for 20 years. Which seems insane that anyone would have signed a deal that long. Figured it would have been like 5-8 years mostly.Of course they do. The issue is ownership, a winning team, and a good stadium.
The NHL is a decent product so there are a lot of cities where you're going to have a passionate fan base. But generating revenue is another matter. Even a team like San Jose averaged less than 14K in attendance last year. With that said, the Jets averaged even less last year.
It's not just about the history and losing either. New Jersey plays in a small attendance and their attendance can be crap when they are losing. In comparison, the Canucks have averaged over 17K a game (at least in terms of ticket sold) this century (aside from Covid restrictions) and there have been some lean years.

Honestly, I wouldn’t revive the coyotes brand. Just nothing good associated with it. But trademark wise, hard to find much else.LMAO Oh no instead of Maricopa County, I read "Mariposa County".
What will the team name be? Nightkins? The Cathedral? Vault Boy? Super Muties?
