The thing with Lane Hutson that people forget is that for every Quinn Hughes, there’s x100+ Tyson Barries. Sometimes you get lucky and get a Bryan Rafalski, but Quinn Hughes is a 1 of 1 right now - having this kind of impact on the game at this size as a dman has never been done before.

Montréal needs to shelter the kid a bit more like Vancouver did with Tanev, so he can learn the game the right way and not get giga punished for his deficiencies.

Hyman also having zero points is wild. I knew analytics sites were wildly overrating him as one of the best wingers in the league (that’s just the mcdavid effect), but 0 points in 7 games playing with McDavid is actively hard to do.
