Some of the rumours of who is making the rosters of these 4 nations. Definitely some questionable decisions. Similar to the WJ roster invitees.
Great for Lankinen though!

Lankinen is a pleasant surprise and some well deserved recognition for him and how he has played this year.

I think Boeser is getting robbed here - but it also sounds like the USA is going with an older/more experienced team.

Kind of want our guys to get that week off to rest. Hughes is going to get a boatload of minutes while Hronek is out.

If anything close to projections, I'd probably take Boeser over Tage Thompson and Brock Nelson. I think Nelson beats him out only because American's are going to need some Pker's.

Jfresh has a rumour that Canada is taking Sam Bennett and Parayko. I don't think too many expected those two.

The fact that USA has JT on their roster is a good sign. I assume they would have done some due diligence there.

The only guy I wouldn't mind seeing go is EP. Want to see if he can rekindle some more offensive mojo hopefully playing with guys like Forsberg or Nylander.

Somewhat glad he's getting robbed - this tournament feels pointless to me, and I'd rather our guys rest if they can.

Arvidsson has been such a massive flop in EDM and at 4M thats crippling them.

On pace for sub 30 points

Hyman too, on pace for 32 something points and 12 goals.

And OUR team is suppose to be the one carried by PDO? Yeesh...
$10MM spent on Skinner/Arvidsson/Henrique is UGLY. I guess it's hard to convince UFAs to sign in Edmonton.

Seems like keeping McLeod and finding a good top 4 defender would have made more sense.

So much self inflicted damage from that management team last summer...which is obviously great to see!

Broberg 10 pts in 14 games and +4

Holloway 15 pts in 26 games and +7

I really think they should have at least attempted to keep one of the two, especially Broberg.

The fact that the Oilers are the ones who have had their SH% bubble burst after all the whining about how we were unsustainable is just hilarious.

We're #5 in the NHL again this year in SH%. It's a function of the system.

They lost a ton of speed and swapped youthful exuberance/upside for "experience" and elevated injury risk. Every major move they made has been a disaster and they don't have much $$ or the prospect pool to address the issues. If they miss the playoffs this year, it might be really tough to convince McDavid to stay.

Mistake was Henrique, Jeff Skinner and Arvidsson. Past prime overpaid vets that replaced all their young talent.

McLeod, Holloway and Foegele can all play good bottom 6 minutes with good speed and checking. Plus they lost a lot of their PK utility in their defense.

They're obviously a playoff team but they have worse depth than last year and don't have any assets for solid deadline upgrades.

Oh right forgot about Foegle. Had a quick look just now, 25 games with 11 pts and +7.

All these depth players are playing very solid for their roles elsewhere. Oilers seems even more top heavy than before.

Lame Duck GM. If you were not going to keep Holland, best to move off him earlier than they did and have Bowman in place.

Won the Cup in 2022 and do not look good now with prime age Mack, Makar, Rant. Didn’t have an elite goalie but Kemper played well for them but priced out afterwards.

Landy injury was huge as was betting on Nuke who has personal issues to resolve.
I didnt pay attention to them during the regular season but Im confident in saying Kuemper played some of the worst goal Ive ever seen in those playoffs

Using their 2024 1st to trade back into the first round last year and draft O'Reilly is looking to be a really bad mistake.

What a weird trade. You want to surplus your prospects but at the expense of your biggest bargaining chip at next deadline? Zero foresight - Jackson bundled a ton of things in his short interim.

They own the Blues 2nd, which is low 40's at this point. Would likely have to pair that with the Holloway 3rd or their own 3rd to make up for a 1st.
