As far as the North goes it should have been Leafs in 4 game sweep against the bottom ranked Habs and the Oilers should be up 3-2 against the underdog Jets that lost 9 of their last 11 games to enter the playoffs.

This based on expectations and contributions of the Rocket Richard winner Matthews and the Art Ross winner McDavid leading their teams charges.

Bruins vs Islanders starting today.

The winner will get a rest prior to CF.

Predictions? I'm gonna go with the Islanders in 6. But who knows.

Bruins vs Islanders start tomorrow which is dumb because it means more back to back games for teams from the North. Bruins will be tough to beat. Isles need to shutdown the perfection line if they want any hope of beating them.

I don't mind them starting with overlap at all, but it is bizarre they'd do that now and not go finish out the regular season in the North.

The 4-1 lead with 10 min to play wasn't the biggest let down, it's when we had a 4-2 lead with less than 2 min to play and their goalie pulled. If Bozak was playing, he could have won those faceoffs and it would have been a different story. I won't even mention the clear boarding call that the ref watched as Lucic boarded Gunnerson just before the B's pulled their goalie.

To make it worse Burke drafted Gauthier in the 1st round draft because he wanted a good face off man. Glad to see Burkie's #1 seed Pens ousted by Lou's #4 seed Isles.

Yeah, that was heartbreaking, but I'm over that 4-1 loss to the Bruins...had the Leafs beaten the Bruins, it probably would have delayed the rebuild resulting in the Leafs missing out on Matthews.

Honestly if the Leafs blow this series with a 3-1 series lead, with this team against that Montreal team .. That will be more of a heartbreak than the 4-1 third period lead loss. I'm scared shitless of tomorrow's game.
