Pouting Oiler fans triggered Matthews doesn’t have a point in two games (so far today).

They are so used to one player getting all their points.

they will say anything to undermine the leafs.

Matthews killed it in the face off circle tonight, he was 13-6 at one point. He's so well-rounded he can help the team win without putting up points.

Nashville pissed away a few good chances up 2-1 tonight. Needed to close it out before that Necas goal

McDavid didn't have points in two games in the series as well.

Oilers fans are used to having just 3 forwards score all their goals for them. With how pathetic their forward depth is, I'm surprise they didn't took a shot at Chucky, then again this is the same franchise that has failed to add another legit top 6 forward to compliment their big 3 for half a decade now.

Wow, looking ahead, if Colorado, Boston, and Tampa win their divisions and assuming the Leafs win the North. It will be a daunting task for any team to win the cup.

We would probably play Tampa (right?) And if we make it, play the winner of Boston/Colorado for the cup.

Very exciting.
Now, back on earth, we need to win on Thursday.

Now who keeps saying "Offense win Championships", because I'm simply not convinced? :)

Until Edmonton learns how to play Defense, and how to defend they're never going anywhere despite having the Art Ross Trophy winner on their team.
Winnipeg was the 4th worst team in the league defensively this year. Much worse than the 14th ranked Oilers. What Winnipeg does have is a Vezina winning goalie. Kind of left out some key points there that completely destroy your argument.

On the Winnipeg board they have a thread on who they would rather face, leafs or habs.

I don't know if they are delusional or just cocky from sweeping the oilers, but there are some hot ass takes in there. Funniest thing being that our D are "slow" and easy to pressure. Muzzin and Bogosion are our only slow D, but they serve their purpose well. Reilly, Dermott, Sandin and Brodie more than hold their own in speed.

2nd hot take was their depth is miles ahead of ours. okay.

3rd- our goal tending isnt good. this narrative simply has to end. Campbell has more than proved himself.

We'd be more than happy to beat them in the 2nd round.

Wayne Gretzky joining Turner Sports as studio analyst - TSN.ca

Gretzky resigned as vice-chairman of the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, saying he could not devote the time needed to the franchise given the pandemic and life changes.

Gretzky said during a telephone interview with The Associated Press that the opportunity to join Atlanta-based Turner, as well as some other changes, led to this being the perfect time to move into an analyst role. Gretzky and his wife, Janet, moved to Missouri earlier this year to be closer to his mother-in-law, who turns 100 in August.

The move from California also allows them to be closer to their two grandchildren, who are in South Florida.

“We just felt like, after the passing of my dad and my youngest going to college this year, maybe this is a good time to move. We've kind of become empty nesters,” he said. “Atlanta is an hour from Florida and an hour from St. Louis. So I guess the stars were aligned. We get to spend a lot of time with our family, and I get to do what I love to do, which is talk about hockey.”

Turner Sports has earned critical acclaim for its use of former basketball players Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal on its NBA coverage.

Gretzky said Turner reached out to him a couple months ago about a potential role. He also received a recruiting pitch from Barkley.

Even though they are good friends, Gretzky said no one should expect him to have the same style or delivery as Barkley, who is a big hockey fan.

“I’ll be honest and forthright, but I’m not, by any means, controversial," Gretzky said. "And just so we’re very clear, I’m going to be way more positive than I am negative. That’s just my nature. You can still be critical without going over the edge.”

They are certainly a much tougher matchup especially without tavares but i believe we can take them in 7.
