They have already voted McDavid as the most disappointing player. Without him no one even looks in their direction. Such a horrible fan base.

blame the management. They iced a one line team. Shut down McDavid and you win.
Exactly. They went with McDrai line in the playoffs right up to the end and they expected a different result?

Sweep...thanks for laughing at the Tavares injury, LOiLers fans...deserved your karma...funny, I read one of their guys saving further insult on the Leafs and Tavares' injury until the LOilers won a game against the Jets as if being magnanimous...woot, the LOilers didn't win a game, so he could keep his mouth shut.
Just for that, they can stare at this all day long right through the summer...

Yamamoto got one in OT for tripping if I remember...but I thought Morrissey should have received one in his own zone for blatantly holding onto Draisaitl's stick.

I know. I’m just saying in general it seems like that is the dominant penalty.

The holding of the stick had to be called. And I thought Winnipeg got away with a lot during OT. But Yamamoto should have also been called for that nasty two-hander.

Cassie Campbell continues to praise the refs for not calling OT penalties and letting the players decide the game...the ironic thing about that statement is if the player commits the infraction, they have decided the game...it is the refs that are undecided.

Free arms, trips, and slashes galore in OT. The league should be embarrassed with that display of officiating

Oilers fans turning their wrath on Singh

Yes, hate on a guy doing a national broadcast for being completely unbiased and professional

Disgusting fanbase

Lmao what? Guy's perfectly good at his job. What a weird thing to be mad about

Then again we have fans who whine when the broadcast "hypes up" anyone so I guess that's just how it goes

She uses a lot of truisms as a crutch. Ferraro took a long time to develop a personality too.

3 take aways from the Jet/Lolilers series

1 - I've seen some fans call that series physical. They haven't tuned into the Leafs/Habs series or Lightning/Panthers series to see what a physical series is. I couldn't believe how much open ice was available compared to other series.

2 - McDavid had more turnovers that lead to goals, than goals

3- Oilers are a 1 man team. Stop McDavid.. you stop the Oilers. The only way they get better is either trade Draisaitl for a few very good wingers, or blow it up. They don't have any real depth that is a threat. I would be shocked if McDavid stays there when he becomes a free agent unless they completely turn it around next year.

Bonus.. Singh was great, score a f**king game winning goal Loilers, and you will hear an over the top goal call. So butt hurt it's funny and sad.

Maybe we can get Mcdavid for a bag of pucks this morning. On the Oilers board, a poll "Who are you most disappointed in".... By a 3 to 1 margin with a 195 votes, Mcdavid. LMAO!

I know he was bad defensively but he did have 4 points in 4 games,

4 - The Jets are really f***ing bad. I don't think I've ever seen such a bad team luck into a 4 game sweep like this.

I dunno man, the Leafs are up 2-1 in the series but are still giving Marner a hard time for subpar play despite 3 points in 3 games.

At some point you expect more from your superstars to help lead them to playoff success.

Now I didn't really watch the series so I can't comment on his play away from the puck, if there was desperation in his game, but it was fairly obviously the Oilers would go as far as McDavid could carry them.

Evidently that wasn't very far at all.

The Oilers fans were having a hissy because it was two Mcdavid turnovers that led to the 2 game winning goals by the jets. IMO if you're the guy that carries the puck 99% of the time, shit happens.

Fair points and I agree. I mean McDavid has carried that team basically all year (and throughout his career). I'd be more mad at Holland and the fact that they can't build a competent roster around them.

A good lesson for neutral viewers about the randomness of hockey. Oilers outplayed the Jets every single game, and lost all 4. Narratives will form, grit and 'wanting it more' will get thrown around. But that's the coward's take when faced with the ultimate truth; the universe is rudderless and uncaring. You can do 100 pushups everyday of your life and yet still get decapitated by falling plane debris.

Normally I would say this is a good thing for Edmonton. That team clearly isn't built for playoff success, so this should really open up management's eyes and force them to make some big moves. If the Oilers lost in 6 or 7 then it's likely that they would just recast a few players and roll the dice again next year, kind of like when Toronto lost in 2013.

But I also don't trust Edmonton management, so when they attempt to make these big changes in the coming offseason I could see them striking out more often than not. Could be pretty funny as a neutral observer.
