In some ways this is true but when is McDavid (along with Draisaitl) going to drag the Oilers up himself? Regular season scoring titles are a nice appetizer but can’t the main course.

I'm sure their fans had a good giggle when that happened to the Leafs...yes, blowing that 4-1 lead in game 7 was a terrible, terrible feeling, but the eventual outcome from that is we got Matthews and this team.

Even with Archibald penalty, there was plenty of time. Smith letting an easy one for game tieing goal. Smith is like that, he'll make great saves only to let an easy one in

3 points is pretty impactful. He did what he was supposed to, get them the lead. He's not going to kill penalties
He's the reason why he's even here

He should get 3 times the MVP award. without him they don't make the playoffs even in AHL
