NY has been taking the opportunity to really lean on McAvoy when the can.

That’s his you play in the playoffs. Any D can be a top 2 D if they aren’t ever under pressure. You have to wear teams down and get dirty.

McAvoy has always been prone to mistakes

Man are the Leafs a f***ing joke. This team truly does reinvent ways to embarrass itself  who would've thought that with the Islanders losing JT/the Leafs acquiring him, they would be the first ones to beat Boston in a playoff series and win multiple rounds...

Ya the Bruins got worked that period and looked very fatigued.
That will happen when the opposing team is is hitting everything in sight and making life hard on your best players.

Everytime you touch the puck you think someone is going to run you over and that leads to mistakes.

You watch games like this and its pretty depressing that our team plays the way we do.

You make more when someone shoulders you to the head when you get to close.
I like Palmeri. He’s got bite.
Some guys can thrive in those situations, but he isn't one of them. I think the Isles have him, but bad decisions and looking confused isn't new to him. High highs and lows lows.

So it's a coincidence that ever since Lou left, the Leafs have gotten exponentially worse and the Islanders have gotten exponentially better?
Seems like we've gained talent, but stayed relatively consistent in the teams abilities.

Islanders have definitely bought into their one team approach, not sure it's what he was building here though
