Dang what a beauty shot by Stone on a breakaway! Why can't we have a player that can finish a good scoring chance like that? :(

Maybe one of these days people will realize that every goalie in the world sometimes gives up softies at bad times. The dumbest narratives on this board are how Andersen was the reason we lost to CLB (even though our high power offence couldn't score) and now people are bitching about Campbell (even though our high power offence couldn't score). No matter how good our goalies play overall, as soon as one bad goal goes in all the cliches come out, gotta make a save there, gotta have that one, that can not go in, blah blah blah.

Every goalie in the world gives up soft goals sometimes at the worst possible times. Every ... single ... one.
Trick is for your team to overcome enough those muffins, like Vegas just did.

Good for Vegas. One thing I’m seeing from a lot of these OT wins, when players get a chance to end it, they f***ing finish it. Not like our boys who dick around overpassing, missing, or “getting robbed.”

Flower makes up for the soft goal at the end of the first period. He left a juicy rebound 10 seconds into OT, but made a really good secondary save. That save allowed Vegas to score on a nice roof daddy.

The Leafs are nothing like these teams. They play with tons of heart, passion, work hard every shift, it's unreal how light years apart the Leafs are compared to Vegas, Avs and Tampa Bay.

If BOS/COL both go out, good luck marketing THAT final four NHL where literally the only stars are Fleury and Price

Honestly feel this is Vegas's year.

They're a very well-built team and proving you don't need elite center depth to be a cup contender.

Them winning in year 4 would also make for good memes/trolling on the mains comparing them to the leafs (and maybe sabres and canucks). Seeing an expansion team win in year 4 would suck but its a source of humiliation which this team needs

IMO you need A center or a gamebreaker. Vegas is basically Fleury and wingers.

they have Pietranngelo when healthy a top 10dmen and Theodore probably a top 15 d-men. Two elite 1Ds along with incredible winger depth and Fleury who can be the best goalie in the league when on.

Center wise they have guys playing good enough where they can overwhelm a team with the rest of their strong depth

Counter-attack OT magic.

Colorado played very careless after taking the 2-0 lead...it's great that they had a lot of energy, but their defensemen were careless and kept blowing their zone...the 2 goals Vegas scored in the 3rd period were off of turnovers and self-inflicted. The OT goal Stone scored was caused by Graves going completely blank for a second after getting his 2 shots blocked...it was like he was just staring and not even skating over to check Stone until it was too late.

They have 4 very good lines they could throw at any team...which line could you cover and game-plan for?
