This definitely puts a dent into the credibility of the accuser. This is why I laugh at the people who wanted the book thrown at Kane. Guess Doughty should've also been suspended in 2012...
What a **** show.
Have to think the DA's press conference tomorrow is just to say they're not pursuing the case...but the way this has all gone, there will be another twist tonight before his twist tomorrow, heh.
Random question re Colin Miller, where was he ranked on the Kings depth chart before his trade? He looked pretty good tonight for Boston, and really knows how to get the shot off quick.
He looked to be at least a year away from the NHL if ever due to defensive play/decision making, but he was pretty buried on it, probably 3-4 players ahead of him depending on how you rank them. No one is really questioning his offensive ability though, he certainly has that, but probably redundant with Jamie McBain, as well.
Assuming it's true that the rape kit came up negative from the waist down, given the developments over the last couple of days, it's pretty clear at this point that they'll never get a conviction.
The lawyer quitting is a huge red flag.
He never should have held that press conference. He obviously didn't know what he was talking about.

DA: "The question in my mind is not when this case will go to a grand jury, it's if this will go to a grand jury."
Look at what's happening, apply a little common sense, and it's pretty clear a conviction is now highly unlikely.
Veterans should only be signed, not traded for, during a rebuild.

Pretty clear to you, but you're not on the Grand Jury. Sedita said the case is still open. Until the DA makes a decision, nothing has changed .

Tidbits from around the league:
Hearing the Byfuglien's asking price (LTC at 7M Per) is the reason the Jets haven't signed him yet. And with Seidenberg out and Chara aging quickly (and left last night's game with 'upper body injury) , NESN and other hockey outlets are saying the Bruins are interested in trading for him. Jets still haven't signed Capt. Ladd yet, which might be a factor. Ladd thought to be in the 6 yrs./6.5 per range.
The Rangers' Oscar Lindberg, a very talented center , is drawing a lot of interest around the NHL, since if they (depth issues) decide to send him back to the AHL, he won't clear waviers.
Rumor that the Leafs Lamoriello is interested in Travis Zajac, although he's 30 and I can't see him being a part of a team on the rebuild. And why would you give up good prospects (which is what NJ would want). Don't see this rumor having legs.
and this is an NHL injury list by team, that black cloud of bad luck is still hovering over the Blue Jackets, 6 players in the list

Teddy Purcell, (day to day ) prior to injury was skating on the first line with Hall and McDavid.
