The good: Edmonton fans don’t have the honour of bringing the Cup home and they also don’t complete the 0-3 comeback which would’ve given them forever bragging rights. Corey Perry is also once again a SC Finals loser.

The bad: Florida Dirtbags win a Cup and some of the biggest assholes in hockey are happy.

Honestly feel like we could have beaten either of these teams -- you know, if our guys actually showed up in the playoffs, so... never mind. But seriously. As unbeatable as Florida looked going into the Finals, the flaws of both these teams were on display this series.

In terms of this game, I thought Edmonton left Skinner for far too long. A more bold coach, and probably Paul Maurice, would have pulled him during that pressure with ~3-4 minutes left. But in general, winning 4 in a row against the same team is damn difficult, and so despite all the talk about the pressure being Florida, I still thought they had the edge going in and am not surprised that they finished the job.

Finally... glad to have the 1942 Leafs' record still stand alone, glad to see Ken Holland (who is a mediocre GM) not win another undeserved Cup, but disappointed to see McDavid/Hyman/Brown lose and disappointed to see Bennett/Tkachuk/Cousins win.

EDM F'd around with the puck all game..when they had momentum it was fake momentum. No intensity. FL was knocking them on their ass and deserved the W.

Honestly the only reason I still post on HF is to remind people on the main board that the leafs are the only team that matters in pro hockey. The rest are irrelevant to me.
