37 points in his last 17 games has helped move McDavid to #3 in career points per game.

McJesus is great, unlike this sheet :D

The rest of the players on the list got their post-prime years included.

PPG is so fking overrated :D.

He'll need another decade of excellence to get to Ovi's goal totals or Jagrs point totals, but if he retires now McDavid= ( Wayne + Mario) x 2

It's weird.

Pretty impressive Crosby still hanging in 8th overall. He is nearing the end. Although his play hasn't reflected that so far this year

Oilers playing really well lately. Skinner is actually playing well. But but but.....let's not kid ourselves the BIG reason they are clicking right now is McDavid. Dude has to drive 180KM every game for them to win. He is doing it. Until he doesnt.

Good for him… he’s getting more than 3 mins per game of ice time than he did here and in a top 6 opportunity don’t nice to see he’s settled.

nothing to lose sleep over though
The problem with Kerfoot is even beside Marner and Matthews he'd still only have 5 goals in 36 games like he does now. This kind of stuff is why we can't win rounds.

We need Bertuzzi like breakouts from our complimentary players in the playoffs

It's so bizarre to me the blame has shifted to the offensive depth. Sure the depth could have done more, but the stars are the ones who've failed to deliver - Marner and Matthews in particular. It's funny you make fun of Kerfoot having 5 goals in 36 games and being evidence why we can't go anywhere in the playoffs when Marner has 10 goals in 50 playoff games. All while playing 23 minutes a game and 1st PP.

It's like if your cars engine exploded and you were inexplicably obsessed with replacing the brakes. Sure better brakes would be nice, but you aren't going anywhere without an engine.

Kerfoot is very much like Jarnkrok a good utility player except in Kerfoot case while a Leaf he got criticized too much because of the connection to the Kadri trade and that he was paid a tad too much
Well, there's the difference then.

If Jarnkrok were traded for Kadri, and were paid 1.5 more, he probably wouldn't viewed the same. Also, the trade as a whole also lingered over Kerfoot once it was clear Barrie wasn't really up to it.

It's factual to state the stars get zero offensive help in the playoffs regardless of what fraction of the blame they also take

But majority of the series went down to the wire and that wouldn't have happened without the stars, so I'd reshuffle the depth instead of the stars

Boone Jenner heads to the all-star game with a 51 point pace this season lol.

Probably time for the league to revamp the rules a bit
Wonder how many players the league will let the Leafs send this year since it's in Toronto. I think Nylander, Rielly and Marner are all deserving, but I feel one of them is gonna be left out.
