Glad to see the Sharks having some success against the Kings after last year. Always had a soft spot for the Sharks.

Random playoff seeding question: If the 3rd place team in the Atlantic division has fewer points than the 5th place team in the Metropolitan division, would the 3rd place team in the Atlantic have the 8th seed or the 6th seed?

Perhaps its easier to ask if the two wildcard spots are automatically the 7th and 8th seeds?

WC are 7th and 8th.
Remember playoffs stay divisional though, so not as much a factor now. They'll always be away team if making it second round

I went into last nights Habs/Leafs game thinking I hate the Habs more now so I wanted the Leafs to win. But I realized I can't cheer for either team, I like seeing both teams lose - its a little confusing.

Seriously

I was pumped when Toronto scored to tie 3-3 but then thought "oh no, 3 point games are bad for us" and "I can't believe I'm happy Toronto tied the game late!"

Then Montreal scored to take the lead and was sad but thought "hey no 3 point game!" and "**** you Montreal"

It was confusing for sure

Good to see the stinking Leafs lose last night, they have a lot of new faces in their lineup. IMO both the Leafs & Montreal are beatable in our division, Detroit is getting old as is Boston & Florida & Buffalo should be beatable. Tampa could be a stronger team but Ottawa with their size & speed should be right in there with anyone else in this division IMO. I'm hoping for a good yr.
