Anyone else feel like the games so far as a whole this first round have been really boring?
Been hit or miss
Our series , wild game 1 and some of 2 and Carolina series have been fun

Vegas trying to troll Winnipeg with the workout lights crap and meanwhile they may soon be down 0-2 to the 8th seed.

My in laws always ask me why I didn’t switch allegiances to the Knights despite being one of like eleven hockey fans in Las Vegas for the past 30 years.

This. This is why.
Just like that 2 1 knights

Of course being criticized for it by the Ian Kennedy’s of the world. I thought it was pretty funny.

i mean he is not wrong, but probably should not be said like that.

Given most tickets to leafs games are all corporate stooges and the team is criticized for fans that sit on their hands due to being too white collar, kind of shocking this happened.

Devils sat Siegenthaler in Game 2. 6’3”, left-handed shutdown defenseman. You gotta imagine the player and agent aren’t happy about that given how well he’s played for them.

One can dream…(if we don’t manage to re-sign Gavrikov)

We have a minimum 3 games left against in division rivals and two of the best players in the world. Both Gavrikov and Korpo have the chance to add years and dollars to their next deals if they can help shut down the high flying Oilers.

I have been very impressed on how Anderson and Gavrikov have shut down McDavid. If they can shut down the best in the world, I am all for paying Gavrikov extra to stay and cutting a lot of the dead weight or repetitive type players off the roster.

Mikey has already blended very well with Drew and even though Gabrikov off has been nails with Roy, man would he look good for the next seven years beside Clarke.

Sometimes sacrifices have to be made and I let next year play out and see where we are at the trade deadline before we figure out what we’re doing with Roy. If we’re doing rolling in contention, let him play with the year. If we’re not doing so well, he would such a nice pick.

Doughty - Anderson
Roy - Gavrikov - ridiculous shutdown pair
Clarke - ? Defensive physical dude

Clarke slides up in 2025 to take Roy’s spot unless the cap takes a massive jump and we get a chance to re-sign Roy. (Depends on Roy’s play)

Let’s watch these playoffs play out and see what Blake does. If Gavrikov remains effective, he feels the biggest hole we’ve heard of this organization for years. He needs to be resigned what’s up no matter the cost. The money used on Moore would’ve easily have signed Gavrikov so Blake has to fix this mess.

The fact that it makes no sense to buy a Peterson this year also hurts he saves us $1 million in the minors so your sister year with a $4 million cap hit that we aren’t using. Blake cannot afford any more mistakes if he wants his team to remain competitive. That makes resigning Korpisalo another key. If he can get them under contract for anything under 4 million a year. With Copleys cheap contract for next year it would help to have both our goalie signed for around the $5 million mark.

Super interesting to see what happens this summer with Vilardi being the other big key, Blake may have to put down the surfboard for a bit

No surfing until those 3 get resigned!

They keep this up and Stone will play more career playoff games than regular season games.

Surprised he didn't go back on the IR jumping into the glass after that goal.

Based on us being able to resign Gavrikov and he and Anderson combining for about 45+ minutes a night would a Lauzon type work on third pair? I would love a Makkela but I wonder with his play if he’s priced himself out for LA?

Has anyone watched Lauzon in Nashville this year? Left hand shot defenseman that plays both left and right defense and he used to play physical. Has three years left at 2 million a year.

Would a Durzi for Lauzon swap interest anyone? Just need to guy who can play a defensive and physical 15 mins a night on bottom pairing with Clarke. We are only adding $300,000 a year with the exchange.

Clarke gets extra mins on the PP

Unbelievable that in his age 22 season with over 200 games of pro experience that can't be Bjornfot. But I agree with you, I fully expect the Kings to try and re-sign Gavrikov and sign another LHD. It seems like they threw in the towel on Bjornfot a little over a year ago, it was pretty telling when he wasn't in the lineup during last years playoffs.

If they did sour on him, that is fine, I just don't understand why he wasn't moved after last season. They probably could have gotten a 2nd round pick, but instead he's back in the AHL, and his value falls significantly.

Did they really sour on him or he just hasn't developed enough yet? I think with Bjornfot he needs to play more like Anderson. We all know he has offensive upside, but when he plays with a purpose I really like the type of game he brings. He has also been a leader on all the team's he played on.

I definitely think Clarke could benefit from playing with a rangey, SAH type guy. They can probably look to trade Walker/Durzi/Kaliyev/Bjornfot if that is the case and try to dump some salary with it.
