It only took until G7s of the 1st round to feel like the Playoffs started.

I hope the 2nd round isn't just blowout after blowout and there is close games.

im having an internal debate about which to be more excited for, battle of alberta or battle of flordia?

Tough call for sure, but I think I will be more in tune to the Florida series. For starters, the timing of the games for those of us on the ET will work better and I just like the Florida a lot. The speed and skill of those teams is insane, I took Florida in my bracket but not confident.

As much as watching McDavid and Draisaitl is fun, for some reason I just am not as interested.

probably because they dont look interested. i would agree the BoF is going to be highly skilled and entertaining, The bad blood already from the regular season BoA just makes the playoffs series should be great to watch however you could argue last years (?) BoF was quite violent and might be exactly what every hockey watcher orders. skill, violence, physicality and high scoring action along with stupid good saves to keep it close. i dont even care about the start times as i never get to sleep when i want to anyway.

For me the EDM/CGY series feels like an undercard fight, while the other 3 series feel like title fights. It being a late start time doesn't help.

Really? I do understand that neither Calgary or Edmonton are the contenders that teams like Florida, Tampa, Colorado are, but CGY-EDM has the potential to be one of, if not the most interesting series in the entire playoffs this year.

NYR-CAR feels like the leftovers to me. Like someone had these 8 teams and tried to pair them up, and NYR-CAR was just what was left after they made the other series.

I really like the way CAR plays. NYR has Panarin, Zibby, and a goalie good enough to carry them.

CGY/EDM is good for the NHL because it'll keep the Canadian fans interested. If the games would be normal start times for me I would probably be more interested.

The battle of Alberta. That's hockey country up there. If I could only watch one series, I think it would be that one.

But I'd be lying if the battle of Florida doesn't look like a great series as well.

right, my first thought was heck yes BoA is back in for sure 4 games minimum this is going to be epic and then i remember the last time we had a playoff matchup in the BoF and that was just awesome to watch so im torn. obviously ill watch both but i dont know which to be more excited about.

Am I the only one who thinks the Oilers are just going to be a speed bump for the Flames?

Prior to the playoffs, I literally said that the Kings were the only team the Oilers could beat in the western conference if they met in the first round, every other possible opponent would've beaten them.

Then even that turned out very difficult for the Oil. I think the Flames roll over them easy. The Battle of Alberta will be disappointing IMO. Flames in 4... maybe 5.

ill agree i dont expect the oilers to win much, but i will appreciate the battles as i expect it to be pretty gritty rather than super fast paced.

I think there will be emotion, sure, but I don't think the Oilers end up close on the board. I think it will be more interesting off the ice as the fans despise each other...

I think overall, the BoF is far more interesting from an actual hockey perspective.

i can agree with this. BoF has all the makings of a pretty epic 7 overtime games series.

Wow! :amazed:
