I get that, but what makes anyone think Dumba gets us Faber specifically?
Pretty sure they'd have been able to get more than that from just about anyone else.

Looks like an assumed trade of Dumba getting us Faber, which was never going to happen in any reality

Not sure. I just remember reading it in their trade thread.

I’m guessing that any high-level NCAA player that goes back for their 3rd year makes people a little jumpy.

Also, there other situations at play (Kings being deep at RD and I think Faber has a family thing).

I 100% can say that it didn't shock me at in the slightest they lost.

The only real surprising thing to me so far in the playoffs, is Toronto getting out of the 1st round. Now...I hope they collectively spend as long as they did getting out of the second round as they did the first. So they should finally advance to the next round somewhere around 2029 if that all works out,

Bruins out...Avs very likely out....this is the kind of postseason that you could really have some fun with by moving on to the 2nd round. We blew it. Absolutely blew it. I just fear the Oilers or Leafs winning it all. Their fans are bad enough now, but if they win the Cup? Damn.
