And Bedard on that dumpster fire of a roster handily outscores the Kraken’s highest, McCann
That team is terrible. No one on that team who has played more than 15 games this season has a positive +/-. Bedard is the third worst in that stat, though; worst +/—is -27, Bedard is at -22.

Bedard also has 9 more points than his closest teammate. Asking a 19-year-old to carry such a bad team is just unfair.

I agree! And somehow he's still got more points than the Kraken's highest scorer! It's crazy!

Welp I’ve got no interest in the 4 Nations stuff so unless something specific to the Kraken happens I’ll see y’all in a couple weeks!

Ngl it's been hard to tune out the 4 Nations crap, entirely because of the antics of the US team and Trump-simping Bill Guerin. Guess it's cool when they do it but when it's Kaepernick it's time to clutch pearls and "keep politics out of sports"? Shameless, specifically the Tkachuk brothers. Big shocker, the sovereign country our president is "joking" about annexing boo's our anthem (why are we still playing national anthem's at sporting events?). Big shocker there.

Legitimately makes me embarrassed to be an American, and can't wait for this ridiculous "tournament" to end.

f*** Bill Guerin and the Tkachuk brothers, sincerely a US Army vet.

The Tkachuk brothers did the sport a favor and got it LOADS of global attention. That's all it was actually about... well, they may have gotten a few "lulz" from it, though. Almost nobody cared about this tournament until they did what they did, now people who didn't care about hockey care. I'm not going to complain.

Note: I do not follow politics, so do not confuse my approval of the Tkachuk's actions as anything political or approval of anything political, but I am totally glad they did it, because people suddenly care a great deal about the sport I love and nobody got genuinely hurt.

This.

To me, this is something like Taylor Swift going to watch the Chiefs games. I am not a fan of the Chiefs or Taylor, but I do appreciate the new audience she has garnered for the sport. Heck, even my wife talked about it and she has no interest in hockey. Or sports really.

The politics crap is something that came after that fact and nothing to do with the Tkachuk's really.

Neither of you saw their post game press session where they were asked about the booing, I take it?

No, the only post-game press conferences I watch are after Kraken games and after the Stanley Cup Finals games. That's about it. But even then, it did something for the sport for sure, and I'll be damned if it didn't energize Canadian hockey fans for the first time in a while.

Well, I am going to be glued to the screen tomorrow. Even a couple people I know who don't like hockey are going to do likewise. In a way it is unfortunate that a not especially meaningful tournament has taken on this kind of political baggage. On the other hand, what a jolt of adrenaline it has given this thing. It is a just a dumb hockey game--one could argue as it has no consequence on anything, that it is an especially dumb hockey game--but the overwhelming majority of us up here are looking for every way we can to rally round our flag at the moment, and this game provides a handy opportunity. Funny, because three weeks ago I couldn't even be bothered to find out when the tournament was going to be played.

Yeah, all it took was 9 seconds to turn a meaningless tournament from one that almost nobody cared about to one that's got more buzz than many recent Stanley Cup finals. Too bad the other major tournaments aren't run by the NHL.

I had negative interest in this tournament but like many I changed my mind. Maybe it's not so interesting to NHL die hards, but for casuals and kids (also in Europe) the tournament has proved very important to stoke interest in the sport.

It seems the pressure has gone up a notch today. To me the game has come to carry a lot more political baggage and nationalist fervour than it should, than is healthy. It definitely ups the ante by heating up patriotic feelings, but I don't think much good ever comes of that regardless of who wins the game.

Yeah. It went over the fun line into the no-fun zone.
