A Hawks fan just called the Canucks soft  Oh the irony. Hawks don't have a single answer to Bieksa, Kassian, Volpatti or Weise. Vancouver would push them around in a 7 game series but no we're "soft"

Pretty funny. They have Bollig, Mayers, and Carcillo, does that Hawks fan really think those three are scaring anyone anytime soon?

It's just plain ridiculous. Jamal Mayers may be the most overrated fighter in hockey, I remember Bieksa kicking the **** out of a while back. Biggest excuse for a "heavyweight" I've ever heard.

P.Kane is rediculously good..

He's fun to watch objectively.

But Malkin and Crosby HAVE to be the best two players in the game right now. They have such different styles. I almost wish they were out in the west so I could watch them on a consistent basis.

If Pens were forced by the NHL to trade one of them to the Canucks for Luongo, which one would you choose?

I want to say Malkin because I think he's more creative with the puck, but Crosby just gets the job done. Great all-around player and is a winner.

Yeah Malkin looks SO smooth and dominant with the puck.

If I had to describe Crosby's playing style it would be a "grinder". An elite grinder who also happens to be fast, smart, pretty damn good defensively now too, world class vision, world class scoring ability, strong core strength.

Either one is good.

When Malkin is on his game he's probably the best player in the league.

Crosby is much more consistent though.

Really pissing me off that Raffi showed up to fight because he had to "answer the bell", but outside of these forums there's no talk of Keith having to do the same.

Don't understand at all why people keep trotting out these silly arguments about core players/attitude issues in Washinton. You have to be either dense or deadset in your opinion about Russian/European players to think that's the issue. George McPhee has quietly been the worst GM in hockey for three years now. That has nothing to do with the players on the ice.

Ellerby for a 5th? But he was too good to just give up in a Luongo trade!!!! Were Panthers fans overrating their prospects? Impossible. :sarcasm:

You need to explain your position a bit more. So he is the worst manager but it has nothing to do with the players on the ice. Isn't the GM main job assembling the players on the ice. So if it "has nothing to do with the players on the ice" then how is it the manager's fault.:help: To me the core players have been playing like crap so the team is playing like crap, and the losing has everything to do with the players on the ice. Now if the players are crap that is the GM's fault, if they are playing like crap that is the coaches and players fault.
