It what it is-mccann
Steve Bernier with 2 goals in the last 4 minutes for NJ to go up 2-0 against the Isles. Maybe he's finally starting to break out?
nice......too bad he didn't do this here

tie with Kassasin with 5 goals......
2 of his goals are still bounce-ins off of him with him having no clue what was happening.
Does it? Vanek is scoring with and without Hodgson. Hodgson not so much. Hodgson meanwhile is the main defensive presence on his line considering he's a center. The fact is that the truth is somewhere in the middle, both in GA and points.
are those not supposed to count or something
The thing that stands out is assists. Hodgson had 2 assists before picking up 2 secondary assists today.
Vanek and Pominville are driving that show and Hodgson is going to want to get paid for it.

He's a very green #1 on that team, of course he isn't driving the offense. If he's keeping up and not hindering his two extremely productive linemates then he's filling a role many NHLers cannot. Look at Brendan Morrison on the WCE, sometimes it isn't about being an elite player, sometimes the fit is more important.
My point still stands, how much would you pay Hodgson because he's an RFA at the end of this year? Do you pay him as PPG 1C?
5 of 19 is a lot more impressive than 5 of 27, especially considering one is a year older. Let's see how he does when Vanek cools down to his usual pace rather than the ridiculous 19 points in 8 games.
Seriously? Again...all the blame and none of the credit. You'd think Hodgson were some talentless scrub here.
Hockey isn't about class, neither is the internet.
..why? Buffalo is about as inoffensive and vanilla as any team in the league. They're a small market in another conference and are also our expansion cousins. I can't think of a reason to dislike the Sabres.I love seeing Buffalo lose.
So many people are just wanting to see Cody fail, and are seeing what they want to see.
He's producing like Kassian, in a similar situation being put with 2 all stars, yet look at the different interpretations.
I think he's doing reasonably well. A bit in over his head, but that's obvious.

ah. touche.Except for the obvious one. They are not the Canucks!
You're omitting one KEY difference. One set of "allstars" is producing actually at a rate like "allstars" produce. Now, I suppose that might be due to the center (I wouldn't make that argument myself). Kassian has as many points (or more) than either Sedin. He's not merely leeching points; he's carrying that line.So many people are just wanting to see Cody fail, and are seeing what they want to see.
