anyone want to bring back Brendan Morrision......he is healthy now.......but since the majority of the West Coast Express era is mostly gone beside Kesler and Sedins......would he really be upgrade to center? he would better than burrows at center so he (burrows) can play with Raymond/Schroeder

Nope because he'd end up pushing out somebody that brings grit like Volpatti. Hes 37 now. And i can't remember exactly, but he sliced himself didn't he? his thigh? wrist? what happened again? i can't remember, someone in his family told me right when it happened and i rememeber thinknig, damn that will hinder his training... for someone 37 and having something an injury where its hard to work out. that might be an issue

last time he was available, i would have said sure. not this time

I'll take a pass on Bmo. Older, going to be slower, IMO just not what we need right now.

On related note, the current point system needs to go. It's a joke that some games give 2 points and some 3. Every game should be worth equal amount of points, or if they insist not giving 3 points for regulation wins, at least the shootout should be devalued. This current system sucks.

Can we take a moment in this thread to appreciate the Sabres acquiring a goon, and said goon beating the crap out of Scott Thornton and putting an end to the Bruins shenanigans so they can actually beat them at hockey? I know Gillis insists on taking the high road, but damn, that was satisfying to see.

And Lindy Ruff for calling a time out with 13 seconds left in a 7-4 game to rub it in.

Sharks are unstoppable, wow.

The Sharks are a good team but they're riding the percentages like Minnesota last year. I don't doubt that they'll improve their underlying numbers because there is too much talent there, but if they don't what they are doing isn't sustainable.

LA and St. Louis are the teams to beat again this year.

Thornton's an idiot for trying to go with Scott. Do your homework. The only way to make a player like that relevant is to fight him.

Gillis like his fighters to be able to play. Vandermeer can do that, as can Volpatti, but Scott cannot.

Still, I don't want to say it was great seeing Thornton get up wobbly from that scrap, but he's a VAN hater so I know a lot people here liked to see it.

I would've rather seen Scott go all Gino and grab one of the Bruins' actual hockey players.

I don't particularly dislike Thornton, he just goes out and does his job for the most part.

Unfortunately for him, last night his job involved answering the bell for punks like Lucic.

They were coasting and dominating the Oilers. And then destroyed them in the SO.

The Oilers are terrible at even strength

Yeah, but they're ****ing amazing on the PP. How many even strength goals do they have this year? Like, 2?

Something tells me the Oilers aren't going to keep shooting 21% on the PP. No team in the last three seasons has been better than about 16-17%.

Not really. They dislike him because of that jack*ss move he pulled on Weise. Course, Don Cherry was suckered into that cheap move and really layed it into Weise on HNIC.
