Not bad with Roslovic, they have Texier whose decent as well. Centerman seemed to always fall thru and go somewhere else in CBJ, Dubois being the latest, so its nice to see them have some promising young guns down the middle. They just need to change those awful jerseys, the reverse retro's are a good start tho.

he played wing in that game.

He didn't say anything about center, which appears to be a sore spot for you given your posting history.

Seriously can we not even tell jokes on our home forum now without random visitors with an agenda 'correcting' us? Give me a break, laugh a little.

Looks like the Pens are hiring Hextall to be their GM. Good for him and best of luck.

Yup. He's the perfect choice if they want to rebuild their threadbare farm system. But unless he took a 360 in philosophy, he's not the rebuild on the fly type.
Smart guy, and if he learned from his experience in Philly, took the critical issues to heart , he should do fine.

According to Friedman, Hextall in negotiations to become Pens’ next GM. If that come to be, a great hire for Pittsburgh. He will build them the correct way (draft/develop) instead of making 20 trades.

I find it bonkers that Lombardi hasn't been interviewed for another GM job since the Kings let him go. Maybe there's more to it, like he's not interested or whatever....
Yeah, Dean is only 62 years old as well. I think there are several teams which could use him as a GM.

My favorite brian burke moment is at the 2009 draft after a failed attempt to trade up burkeys reaction to the Kings selecting Brayden Schenn.

JR won back to back cups, I'm not sure how that could be called the wrong way, his 20 trades helped the team get over the top. I actually would question the decision for an Oilers/Red Wings model build when you have Crosby/Malkin still at the top of their games(though Malkin has had a down year so far). The Penguins haven't been under 100 points since JR took over, so they are still a high performing team and I don't think a super slow tear down is the move to make right now. That is unless Hextall leans fully into it and trades Crosby/Malkin, but I doubt Mario lets that happen.

Anyways, my point is that teams do not need to constantly be building and even then there is not a single correct way to build a team.
