Well, Dallas has been my 2nd favorite team overall. Rantanen, after the way he handled Carolina with so many different things so numerous that I don't care to list (we all know them by now anyway), including apparently him now saying he knew last week he didn't want to be a Carolina Hurricane (it was probably sooner; let's be real), Dallas is no longer a team I'm gonna root for even though I like their lineup besides that get out of Dodge, mail it in, sabotaging diva POS. They're also from the South so that kind of is appealing as a Carolina fan.

I can't imagine Aho is gonna look at his "friend" as highly anymore. Rantanen didn't even give Carolina enough time to make another trade due to cap space despite him admitting he knew last week he didn't wanna stay with Carolina.

I always look at Aho as having the best grasp of “it’s business not personal” given how he handled his contract with the OS and then his next contract and his dads role as a GM in Finland but yeah this has got to sting a lot to basically be told by your good friend that your team isn’t good enough and to have your team dragged along and hamstrung at the deadline.

Plus KK and Jarvis are Fins too.

Yeah, I can't tell if the BJs would be a problem for us or not, but damn are they all over the Rags. At MSG
They play like they don't care that they're not supposed to be where they are and are VERY well coached. That said, their goaltending is going to sink them in the playoffs over a long enough timeframe. Elvis-Tarasov makes Mrazek-McBackup look like prime Tim Thomas-2003 JS Giguere by comparison.

Yep, and sometimes the D (outside of Werenski) can get very scrambly, looking like The Traveling DeAngelos at times.

We have a hard time with the Jackets whether we're good and they're bad or we're both good or bad or they're good we're bad.

It would be definitely a crazy thing though if we faced them in the playoffs before the Flyers or Senators, the other two teams in the East we have yet to face.

Then again, I never expected 3 series with the Islanders in 5 years.

On one hand, Doherty is a loser that makes even the worst streamers/youtubers look like distinguished people of class and sophistication. On the other hand, Zegras is associating himself with a bunch of knuckle dragging Neanderthals who make content with zero personality for an audience of brain dead iPad kids who are drooling in front of their tablets. I would be embarrassed to be a teammate of Zegras.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, the red wings are hot for canes.

They outshot ottawa 49-23 and lost 2-1.

Ullmark went full vejmelka.

This Ottawa goalie is playing out of his mind
I missed this earlier. I hope history shows boston picked the wrong one going swayman over ullmark. (No idea how they've compared this year - just want boston to be sad.)

jesus Nachos looks good in Colorado.

It really does make me question our system. He's gonna get 100 points there. He just sniped a beautfil goal, but he was all alone, and hes getting Mackinnon passes too.

Plenty of open ice for him to skate cause 2 guys chase Mackinnon and leave him open. Either way Nachos looks like a damn superstar next to him. He would have never done that here.

No team outside of Edmonton has a center as good as MacKinnon is at both skating and playmaking and no team, period, has a defenseman like Makar. Of course Necas was going to go supernova.

Yeah, the key point is that playing next to MacKinnon and with Makar allows a player to rack up points. For another example, look at the winger on the other side.

Lehkonen played 6 seasons with Montreal, getting 74 goals, 149 points in 396 games.
In three seasons with Colorado, next to MacKinnon, he’s had 69 goals, 134 points in 177 games.
