I think if his inside leg had done the same thing it'd hold but he moved his far leg.. I assume that's why still though it's mostly funny!.

Seeing the replay of that Coleman “goal,” it looks pretty intentional that he put his skate on the puck and moved it into the goal. It definitely didn’t deflect off his skate

This was called a goal, reviewed, called no goal.

This was called a goal, reviewed, confirmed good goal.

weird example because the second one is clearly a redirection and would never have gone in the net if the skate was not angled to deflect the shot that way

calgary goal should have counted. not really enough of a kick motion for me, more of just an extended hockey stop.

I was sure the Flames would dominate the Oilers. The Avs have to far apart to not beat the Oilers. It should be a sweep.
I think the Oilers are much better than people have given them credit for, largely because of McDavid and Drai going God mode at the right time, but not just that. Smith is shaky but honestly I wouldn't feel much more comfortable with Kuemper than him the way Kuemper has played lately. I do still think the Blues can take this series but if not I don't think Colorado will have it as easy as most would think against Edmonton. Calgary is significantly better defensively and in net and the Oilers still absolutely dismantled them. No reason to think they can't do the same to Colorado. Blues are a tougher matchup for them but that would still be a close series. Blues and the Canes are actually the only 2 teams McDavid isn't career point per game against.

Edmonton has questionable goal-tending, questionable depth, and questionable defense. They won and bravo but I am not a believer in them. They got the easiest 1st round matchup and then Calgary underperformed. They are easily the worst of the 8 teams that made the 2nd round and now the 3rd round.

That 06 team had better defense and goal tending than this squad. Their O wasn’t better but they got hot all playoffs.

Staal line + Slavin has been a recipe of success against McDavid in the regular season bouts we've had. But we never faced them with Evander Kane, definitely adds a new element to their offense. Also McDavid & Draisaitl are currently playing at just an absurd level of hockey right now. Would be a tough matchup, but I like it better than any of the eastern conference teams we'd face.

That’s the one that started it off this year I think? I saw they called that a good goal and knew nothing about this rule makes sense anymore. That’s as a clear a kick as you can imagine. The point of the allowed intentional redirection is that you’ve planted the foot and it’s no longer moving prior to the pucks arrival.…and they allowed this abomination and then others like it.

97 with Drai backing him up is just that good. I don’t know that the Flames were that bad to be honest. 97 is proving any last complaints about him woefully wrong. Been awhile since we’ve someone put a team on their shoulders like this. Mario comes to mind.

Every single shift I watch of McDavid in these playoffs he just looks like he's from another planet and playing an entirely different game out there. Fast, bigger, stronger, quicker, smarter, more skilled than everyone on the ice. Dude is ridiculous.

The problem with the kicking motion rule is there's new facets being applied to it every time it comes up. There was one earlier this year that was called a good goal because the kicking motion is apparently determined by the knee flexing.

That rule and goaltender interference need to be clearly defined in this upcoming off-season, because no one has any idea what the rule is. Including, apparently, the officials.

Obviously, we need to close out this current series, but of all the teams remaining Tampa scares me the most. If we can get by them, (and that's a big, big if) I like our chances against Edmonton, Colorado, or St. Louis. We have a suffocating team defense and our goaltending is absolutely going ham this postseason. If our scoring can wake up at all, we very well could be the best and most complete team remaining.

But please, for the love of god, win tomorrow night.

Just like Boston, we will have some PTSD to work through. If we can get back to our game , I like our chances. What's happening now will not cut it with Tampa
