Don't understand the point of Klingberg to Edmonton.

There is no room on the PP for him. And any thoughts of him being great on the breakout (questionable) will be heavily outweighed by being caved in defensively.
 
There's 0 risk to signing Klingberg at that contract, he should be an upgrade on Stecher or Emberson.... if he sucks you just stuff him in the press box like Tyson Barrie down in Calgary.
 
His cap hit comes in at just below 1.75M, which isn't nothing for a team trying to maximize space at the deadline

I don't think Klingberg has anything left to give, either.
 
I still expect Klingberg to put up some points playing with McDavid and Draisaitl. It'll be entertaining I'm sure at both ends of the ice
 
I guess it all depends on how successful his surgery and rehab have been. If he's won back some hip mobility, maybe he will have a nice bounce back. Who knows.

Did any teams even seen him skate before signing him?
