GDT: Around The League 24/25. Parity, blessed parity.

Kings just sh**kicking CGY all over and now up 1-0. Wolf playing very good though. I am amazed at him considering how small he looks. Meanwhile Skinner somehow makes himself look so tiny in net lol

These Kings are different.

The issue I have with our team is that I can't see them matching this effort level the Kings bring over a whole series. Add in grit and toughness too.

We have too many lapses in our play and too much casual play

Think if seen some version of this post in 2022, 2023 and 2024 around this time.

It’s gonna be fine.

All 3 teams fighting for the wildcard, Flames, Blues, and Nucks (lol). Are teams I hate.

Not sure who’d I rather see get in. For sure not the Blues though, hope their little retool with our sloppy seconds fails. Nucks would probably give the Knights/Winnipeg the best run for their money, but it would also be hilarious to see their franchise take a step back. Flames making it would perpetuate their mediocrity with a 1st round elimination, but just missing out does that too and is a tougher pill for the Flames fans to follow.

Flames because Nuck fans deserve the f*** you after their antics and behavior over the past year or so.

Flames squeak in and they’ll get swept, but it will just be a redux of 2015 where they think they’re only a piece away and then end up just consolidating a mediocre roster.

Blues are irrelevant.

Flames sneak into 8th place. We finish the season with the best record in the west to set up a BOA in the opening round followed by the traditional LA series.

I agree with you here. I'l take the Shames in. They will lose anyways

How dare you talk about the two way selke defensive stalwart like that

Remember when Leafers said that Matthews was better than McDavid? Then when they were embarrassed on that take, it switched to better than Drai. Then when Drai lapped him, the narrative changed to best defensive players. Now that is also laughable. Reduced to an RBC shill.

It's quite hilarious. Matthews has a great shot if he is healthy. He is strong, but Drai looks like a tank compared to him.

I have said it for years. Matthews is not a guy to drive a team and lead it. He looks like a ghost most games. He needs to be setup. Not a consistent playmaker on top of goals like Drai.

He is a very good complimentary player IMO. Top tier. He is not "the guy"

The east is wild. 8 points separating #6-#15 whereas in the west, there's a 21 point spread between #7 and #15. It's 7 powerhouses in the west and a lot of meh in the east after the top 5 and even those top 5 don't look that formidable compared to the west.

The West playoffs will be a bloodbath. It wouldn’t be a surprise if any of the top 7 teams made it to the Finals.

No doubt. Colorado is the 7 seed currently, that's how strong the west is. I feel like it's 7 Cup contenders depending on what one thinks of the Kings, Wild and Jets because they haven't had much playoff success but are having great years. The Knights, Oilers, Avs and Stars certainly have the pedigree.
