Toronto was supposed to host the WCoH this year which got cancelled because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. So they gave them the ASG instead.
As for Edmonton, we're probably looking at a draft potentially first? The climate is a consideration. But if we're talking ASG it won't be before 2026 or 2027.
Oh yes, that's right, the Oilers lose something as meaningless as an ASG and you show up to crap on Skinner.

Which IMO is bullshit. Edmonton hasn't had an ASG in over 30 years, and Calgary over 40 years. You'd think they should have been considered long ago. But no, the players are pu**ies and want warmer climate. I'm so done with this ASG crap. I am starting to feel like I'm turning into Torts now. Shoot me please.

honestly it's an underrated factor. They didn't seem to gel therre but if McDavid liked the experience, like he felt that there was something brewing there, he could give his opinion. I bet every GM we've had has listened to McDavid a lot. I bet McDavid always makes his views known as well.

I mean that's kinda how the cookie's gonna crumble. Montreal just hosted the draft. Nashville is next, then probably another 2 or 3 US cities afterwards. So maybe a 2027 draft?
As for the ASG, I'm probably being optimistic that in 3 or 4 years time another Canadian city will host the ASG. The last ASG in Canada was in Ottawa in 2012. So I guess if you extrapolate that you're potentially looking at 2036.
