He has a few productions bursts during the season. We'll see how long this one carries on and if they can take advantage of it with a string of wins. The mustache was holding him back.

If Pettersson was French Canadian I imagine Luc, Blake, and Bergevin would be outbidding themselves to trade for him. I'm talking full on levels of PLD being THE piece this team needs or Jeannot will score 20 goals delusion. Why give up one 1st rounder when three 1st rounders is what he's worth!

While I avoid making assumptions based on highlights, I missed all of his games. So, to get some idea, I'd watch some highlights.

What stood out to me was he scored a lot using the same move on the backhand. It was a bit of a red flag, because if you don't have a variety of tools, you'll just stick with what works.

I wasn't bullish because even watching a game shouldn't have people jumping to conclusions, let alone highlights. And frankly, he's still very skilled and intelligent. I just think he's trying to revert to what's comfortable, which teams may be picking up on.

NHL's testing program is bottom of the barrel, last i checked it was basically a teamwide offseason test, a random teamwide test midseason then 60 random players during the season

imo that's basically a hall pass once you pass your 2 team tests

That take, along with the fact WSH pretty much announced the record was their objective after the cup win (I forget the exact quote from the owner) means I’m not that excited by the record chase. I normally love this sort of thing.

Just imagine how many goals #99 would have scored had he not valued assists more greatly.

Don’t get me wrong it’ll still be an incredible achievement but the BS that goes with it means it’s not as it should be. For me at least.

I always thought Selanne and Brind'Amour were doing a little something extra later in their careers.

Maybe Kopitar can go see Ovechkin's doctor.
