They also have a gm who isnt the laughingstock of the nhl and gets bent over by every gm he deals with versus a guy with a vision of building a team through draft picks toward a goal of a championship and not a goal of burying young talent to maintain cost control to show max profit. And insulting the fanbase with meaningless slogans like "tradition moves us forward".
So yeah, anaheim at least has an honest direction thier following while los angeles only discernible direction is pump thier fanbase full of manure.
He also has an excellent penchant for shitty coaching hires.

Ducks coaches have almost always been sub par recently. Appears like the samuelii's could have thier fingers in the coaching selection process.

I.E.
He peaked when he made the cover of EA Sports. When I saw his massive penalty shot missed last night, all I could think of was Lewis.

bit of a headcase for sure, wonder if he'd do better on a team with more veteran leadership to straighten him out

Turcotte does seem able ot reign in those types of guys...Zegras AND Arty were his linemates.

I said Turc made Zegras in that tourney...;)

I think they really miss Getzlafs' leadership on that team. There's no way he'd let Zegras [as well as others] do the crap they do. They all seem to be out for their own points [ maybe not Terry].

Caufield now leads the NHL in goals. 12 goals in 16 games.

93 goals in 221 career games. 35 goal pace.

He'll be a 40 goal scorer if healthy.

64/1 before the season to win the Rocket Richard :D

And a big early favorite to win the NHL Cy Young award with the 12-1 stat line.

It’s interesting ho many on the main forums are always hyper-focused on criticizing players' weaknesses, even when those players possess truly elite, Hall of Fame-worthy offensive skills. In this case, his shooting ability and offensive instincts are on par with the kind of game-sense that Luc Robitaille had. Yet, fans seem to favor the generic 20-goal, 20-assist middle-six with a "well-rounded" game over a potential Rocket Richard Trophy contender. If Luc were playing today, he would face the same level of criticism as a player that he now receives as an executive.

I'm still not over Vilardi and not sure I will be even when Blake/Luc get the boot

My favorite King traded for pocket lint

God they're such brilliant hockey minds
