One day sens fans will realize its not just a goalie's responsibility to limit the amount of goals.

Their goalies will continue to look awful as long as the likes of Stutzle and Tkachuk dont give a f*** about defence.

Brady is saving it for the playoffs.:sarcasm:

That Holloway incident was scary as heck to watch. The fact he played on for another hard 15 to 20 seconds is impressive. Adrenaline is a heckuva "drug" when it kicks in. Glad to hear and see he is doing well.

He spent like a gazillion dollars in the off-season... what a disaster 10 games into the season

He expanded on those comments and basically just said, he meant they might have to start calling up kids from the AHL and giving them a chance and see how it goes. He said none of the main pieces would get moved, theyve been "rebuilding" the past 2 years but want to remain somewhat competitive for the fans.

Hes talking about moving out guys like novak, parssinen, nyquist etc. said dudes like josi, forsberg, saros etc wont go anywhere.

Oilers lmao. Puck watching by Bouchard and lazy backchecking by the Draisaitl line on the GWG. Shocker

They're just not doing anything creative in the offensive zone. Empty calorie possessions.

Probably some of the dumbest decisions you can see players make on that Oilers team.

They gave that game away.

To be fair, they (Oilers) fluked their 2nd. goal that Hyman got. Bad bounce off the boards went to Hyman for half an empty net.

Oilers have zero depth. The top of their team is elite when they want to be, but if they aren't going the whole team suffers. They also got softer and Skinner is just too inconsistent a goalie. Chance Skinner gets hot and McDavid, Draisaitl, and Bouchard find their games again and Ekholm remains elite but it doesn't seem like an "everything goes right" type of season for them right now like last year. Special teams are also atrocious right now, lost too many PKers in the off-season.

They also got the highest 5 on 5 shooting % rn.

Like Strome's on ice shooting % 5 on 5 so far is 21.3% which is just insanely high. For reference it was only 8.5% last year, and 9.6% for his entire career. (even strength its even higher at 22.3% lol)

True and yet their PP is dead last in the league at 9.3% as well.

Anyone who predicted Nashville was gonna pass Toronto this year is looking pretty foolish right about now.

Almost as foolish as predicting Ovechkin isn't gonna break Gretzky's record. So hard to believe a forty year old three hundred pound Ovechkin can still score more goals than most NHL players. Only thirty three more to go until the record falls.

This is probably the most interesting story line in all hockey right now.

There really isn't a close second. Unless you, lol, count Burns' chase for, lol, Kessel's ironman record. In which case you'd probably be happy watching the chase for most secondary assists on empty net goals too.

I'm thinking the Leafs should have kept Carbery.

He's really turned the Capitals around. They're a completely different team since his arrival. On the other hand I'm glad the Leafs didn't hire Brunette.

Anyone who was wanting Brunette for coach is looking pretty foolish now too.

This was the year the Leafs were going to pass the Preds. I’m not surprised they’re struggling, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.

I wonder if the Leafs will be interested in ROR?

Now that Keefe's gone anything is possible I guess.

I know when he left O'Reilly wasn't enamored with the team. According to the Toronto Star both O'Reilly and Schenn cited the country club atmosphere as reason for not wanting to return. Whether things have improved in that regard with Berube in charge is still up in the air.

I'd be very interested to hear what someone like Bogosian has to say about the differences between the Leafs and a real contender like Tampa Bay offers in terms of locker room environment.

I didn't think Nashville was going to be very good, and thought that Stamkos for them was a mistake. He's been a terrible 5v5 player for some time, but had his stats supported by Kucherov and the Tampa PP. 67% Ozone starts, and -10!!!!! 5v5 0.9 GF/60 4.0 GA/60  $8 million for a player who has been in decline for some time, for four years. Ouch.
