Dont think McDavid will be out long. Would be jokes if the oilers have a really bad year and McDavid pulls the chute on his bestie Drais and decides hes had enough.
 
The thing with Connor is that he is the on wheeling and dealing the whole PP. He isn't stationary while Drai is running around looking for a Connor tap in.

Then the guy is out again the next shift after the PP is done.

Leafs should do that with our top guys on the PP because we have a more rounded team than the Oilers. Our first PP unit can take a break after the PP is over.

Gold. I love the fact both players will be boat anchors for the next few years. Karlsson is finished. Only Dubas would take a flyer on him at this point.

The article says that they wanted to all stay together. They are in a bad spot. They do have 9 picks in this years draft so that might help.

But Crosby just re-upped. Karlsson has a few more years.

Possibly he can get Malkin or Letang to waive but I doubt it.

None of them are waiving. They will just ride out.

I agree.

In a way I respect that the 3 of them want to finish their careers together. They brought 3 cups to Pit and they have earned that right.

Another part of me thinks that if they really wanted to help the Pens fans, they would waive and help Pit reload.

I understand your point, just don't see why they would want to do that until their final year of the contract right before TDL.
