Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Am I wrong to think that stiff arm was not as bad as the multiple elbows and interferences we've seen passed over this week?

I mean, give it discipline, sure, fine, but then be consistent...
I had a long winded response that is simply replaced with YES!

An absolute joke but not surprising that the Panthers are given a free ride again. You know the next remotely close to the head hit by the Leafs will be penalized and suspended.
The rules are different for Florida, the league has made that clear. Even the way they play they run constant interference and the refs don't bother at all to call any of it. I hate this matchup so much, even if the Leafs were to beat them they'd lose multiple guys in the process.

This league continues to embarrass itself

Yeah if that's a Leafs player they'd be gone at least a game. Intent to injure for sure. But at least Ekblad is likely getting a game, so there's that.

Hagel is also injured for next game.

The Canucks are in a really bad spot right now. They built their team identity around Tocchet. Hughes wanted Tocchet to stay, he’s got only 2 years left on his deal so would not be shocked at all if he plays things out and goes to free agency. Hell, Rutherford even came out and said Hughes wish was to play with both of his brothers one day

Also Tocchet going to Philly is a no brainer, I don’t blame him. Flyers have a ton of draft picks over the next couple of years and a young star forward to build around. He’s going to get PAIDDD!

He rejected the Canucks offer to be the highest paid coach apparently, or near the top... so yeah definitely going to be getting a chunk of change.
