Around the League - 2024-2025 Part II

Will be Jersey

I think you're right. They're just too beat up. But it's the playoffs and anything can happen. Would be funny if Rod the Bod's second first round exit as head coach came against A) a Devils team that's not 100% and B) Sheldon Keefe who has the exact opposite reputation and has only been beyond round one once.

No Crosby in the playoffs for 3 years now and no reason whatsoever to think the Pens can get there the next 2 is an utter travesty

If Bos had made the playoffs I would vote for Pasta for the Hart. One man team. Incredible season with the supporting staff he has.

There is a chance that series goes further than people think. Markstrom might need to steal a game or 2 though. Have to think Keefe's structure will give them at least an outside chance. Apparently Hamilton might come back so thats huge, and maybe Siegs so we'll see.

Crazy the way every out of town game is working in the Leafs favour these days. Must be a sign.

Stars have been pure trash lately. Enjoy the Avs in round one

Their forward group is world class, but that defence, especially the right side, leaves something to be desired. Granted they’re injured back there right now but still. Heiskanen has to play on his off side to make their right defence respectable, and Nils Lundkvist isn’t a world-beater and shouldn’t collapse your defence.

Honestly when we were looking to move Liljegren, Dallas is a team I thought about that might look into him. If a remember, they had interest in him despite him not being playoff proven.
Speaking of Liljegren, he's being played a lot last 8 games.
Over 24 mins TOI/G

At 5 on 5
xGF%: 51
OZS%: 33%
5 assists in 8 games

Overall with SJ
19.01 TOI/G

5 on 5
xGF% 49.86
OZS% 38.96

Seems to be holding his own in tough minutes
